Road surface broken up, several potholes, 23rd April
Once again, prolonged flooding on the SW side of the road has caused its disintegration, just beyond the repair done last year; caused by the same problem. The drainage ditch which should carry the flood water downhill in a SEasterly direction has been unmaintained for many years, especially where it is culverted under field entrances. The road was flooded here for several days because of this neglect.

Bridleway getting flooded from adjoining field and barbed wire alongside, 18th April
The area gets flooded all winter, above ankle depth. It floods from one side but cannot drain into the next field due to fencing and vegetation growing. The mud is slippery and uneven and you have to hold onto the wire fence to prevent slipping into the bog but there are 2 layers of barbed wire along the top making it very dangerous to hold on. Before the fence was erected you could walk around the area to avoid it and it had somewhere to drain to.

Bull in Field misleading sign, 16th April
At the entrance gate to the field a *Bull in Field* sign is fixed, not illegal to have but when there are no cattle in the field, has tall grass and the cattle have been indoors since November the sign should have been removed whilst not bull is in the field.
A sign 'Bull in field' when there was not a bull in the field could also be misleading. This is a fineable offence under section 57 of the National Parks & Access to the Countryside Act 1949, and the highway authority can initiate prosecutions in the magistrates’ court.
