The road surface at this junction has been getting worse over the last couple of months. Cars have to venture very close to the shrubs to avoid massive potholes which rattle the car when driven over. Uneven surface is impossible to avoid when pulling out onto Boughton Green Lane. It appears that all the previous ‘repairs’ that have been attempted have broken away.

Fallen Tree in Billing Brook, 10th May
A tree fell into Billing Brook a few weeks ago. Some workmen attended site with heavy equipment to remove the tree, unfortunately they couldn’t access the site with their equipment and went away and haven’t been back since. Apart from the obvious flow restriction of the brook causing a flood risk, we now have youths and children building a makeshift dam with a shopping trolley, mattress and other debris. This is an obvious public safety concern and needs to be addressed. The attached photo doesn’t show the full length of the tree which I estimate at approximately 80 feet, all of which is lying in the brook.

Fallen trees blocking pocket park path, 9th May
At the start of the path down the pocket park is a fallen tree or bush that is blocking the path and it is very difficult to get past. This has happened within the last week or so I think. This is stopping people walking down the pocket park
Further down the path is another recently fallen tree that is blocking the path. You have to walk into undergrowth and duck to get under it

Abandoned brown bin filled with general rubbish, 9th May
This brown bin has been abandoned in the parking area off Hallam Close for a number of weeks and has been used as a bin and is full to overflowing with general waste

Standing water, 9th May
This section of road regularly has vast quantities of standing water during bad weather, covering nearly two thirds of the carriage way. There is a high risk of Aqua planning, due to the volume of water, it is also very difficult to distinguish, and poses a severe risk of causing an accident. Having reported this over three years ago, and you still having done nothing about it, I’m giving you two weeks to clear the road margin, or you must close the road on safety grounds. As some one who’s made a claim for injury against the council, to be told they didn’t know about the road defect, so I’m not entitled to compensation, consider this your warning.

ON Boughton Road from Morning Star Lane to Boughton many potholes, 8th May
On Boughton road leading into Boughton from Moulton there are many deep potholes that cannot be avoided and are hard to see in the dark. These have been there a long time and are getting worse and worse.

Drains need unblocking & lots of dog fouling, 7th May
Found dogs mess many times on corner of Spinney Close and Carr road. Sometimes on my property on the stones on side of my house. Drains get flooded when it’s heavy rain & full of leaves & dirt.
