30” x 16” x 4.5” pot hole close to A5 junction, 1st May

Wed, 01 May 2024 17:54:45 +0100
52.109246 -0.948728

There is a significant pot hole directly at the junction between Tews End and the A5, this was previously reported via fix my street but they cleared it as ‘fixed’ on Monday evening, it definitely represents a safety concern for all using the road. I am somewhat surprised that after your drain clearing team dealt with the blocked drainage they did not alert highways to this. As this lane leads to the village school and is used by parents and children I would suggest that it needs your urgent attention The build up of washed up road dressing and grit is now forming in to significant bumps and requires scraping / removing or else it will get wash down the drainage gulleys causing them to get blocked once again.. Thank you Paul Davey-Turner Firdale House 40 Tews End Lane

Island Bollard Lights, 27th April

Sat, 27 Apr 2024 08:00:27 +0100
52.118859 -0.96627

The recently built central island on the A5 at the Heathencote turn has 2 bollards that look like they should light up but aren’t working. It’s quite dark there and the island is difficult to see without them being lit, particularly as the road layout has recently changed there. Could someone pop by and check the fuse, or maybe stick another 50p in the electricity meter please.

Potholes in previous repairs on Burcote Rd, 15th April

Mon, 15 Apr 2024 15:04:05 +0100
52.126715 -0.986067

I am requesting again that these holes are repaired. There is a sharp ridge where the repairs have broken down from constantly being hit by HGV's and buses. The old repair spans the width of the road but is particularly bad at the centre. The potholes are situated in Burcote Rd, adjacent and fronting properties 6 and 7 Sheppards Crescent and at the rear of properties 7 and 9 Plessey close. I have photos but unable to upload as it isn't working for some reason!

Potholes, 14th April

Sun, 14 Apr 2024 19:22:32 +0100
52.116384 -0.961423

Not specifically this location on the A5, but this stretch of the A5, which was resurfaced a year ago is already getting potholes. It would be prudent to repair them before they get out of hand as previously occured. This section of the A5 is often used as a diversion when the M1 is closed. The added volume of HGV's causes further damage to a road that is already extremely busy with all types of vehicles.
