FIXMYSTREET IN NN11 3YZ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NN11 3YZ:
Let's all slow clap for the council..., 15th April
So after waiting months for Highways to come out and repair the heavily deteriorated road at the top of Cox's Lane, Highways came out this morning to fix the issue. However, no more than a few hours later, the council bin lorry turned up and decided to drive over the repair even though it was coned off and clearly visible. It's one step forward and then two steps back with you lot... Bunch of clowns.
This needs sorting before the turned up fresh tarmac ends up down the hill and blocking the drains. Or worst still, someone trips and hurts themselves.

Mud on road, 22nd February
You've closed off report 5593434 with the following update:
Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Highways have looked into your concern and found that the road has been swept to an acceptable standard, however, highways will continue to monitor the area on routine inspections.
You haven't swept the road even though you said it would be done by the 20th Feb 2024. I chased on the 21st Feb 2024 stating that i to hasn't been swept and you've just closed the report saying it doesn't require doing.
Please see the latest pictures from today 22nd Feb 2024 showing the condition of the road. Does that look as though it's been swept recently let alone to an 'acceptable standard'
The mud on the road is dangerous, cars, pedestrians and cyclists are slipping all over the place and the drains are blocked..
Come and clean it and stop closing the reports off stating there's no issue.

Two. Expensive and deep potholes, previously reported, extending across highway., 19th February
This report has been logged again because you have reported this pothole having been fixed. 20 Minutes ago, I negotiated this stretch of road where two potholes are joining together in the middle across the carriageway which is, as reported, in a dangerously unstable condition. To say that this problem has been fixed is completely incorrect and probably opening a situation where highways will be liable for damages if accidents arise from this continuing mismanaged repair.

Mud on road, 18th February
Mud on road, coming from the field at the top of Cox's Lane - An ongoing problem that the land owner needs to be made aware of. They need to plough the field a certain way ot dig a drainage ditch otherwise this will keep being reported to Highways every time it rains
This issue was reported last week and we were advised that the road will be swept but nothing has happened. After last night's rain, the issue is now worse. The drains are blocked again... Our properties are at risk of flooding. Cars and pedestrians are slipping all over the place. Our kids ride their bikes outside and they are slipping on the mud and falling off risking injury on multiple occasions.
Please come and clean the road straight away and notify the land owner of the mess and damage their field is causing otherwise I will keep reporting this on a weekly basis and take legal action for the damage and risk that this is causing to pedestrians, our vehicles and property.

Drain Cover Needs Replacing, 13th February
Highways visited Cox's Lane on Saturday 10th Feb due to flooding and mud on the road and advised that it will be cleaned up asap but we're still waiting. The Mud on the road is a dangerous hazard and was reported over the phone.
Whilst Highways were on Cox's Lane, they advised us to report the drain at the top of the hill where the pin on this report has been placed, apparently it needs a bigger drain cover as it currently has a small one which is struggling to cope with the mud/water rushing down Cox's Lane. They also advise that a camera will need to be put down the drain as well as it has collapsed further down the system.
