Erosion of the verge creating dangerous drop, 24th August
The verge has eroded creating quite a drop off the road due to surface water run-off from the highway and increased vehicles using Main Road n recent years due to closures of A465. Vehicles run off road to pass and the volume of water running down the hill have contributed to the current situation. I am concerned that a cyclist might end up injured if they are forced off the road by fast vehicles coming up the hill on the wrong side of the road due to parked vehicles.

The whole of Maesygwartha road is falling apart. Massive potholes which were neglected by the council., 17th January
As there are more and more people bypassing the A465 from Abergavenny to Brynmawr, people are using this road which is unsuitable for many cars at this point as it’s literally falling apart. Massive potholes have been exposed and you can drive only on the right side of the road as the left side is full of potholes. This road hasn’t been repaired for many years and it really needs it. Thank you in advance.
