Parking right on the corner of a junction and blind turning, 21st August
Over the past month or so, cars have started parking on the corner of the turning into Lancaster Road, New Inn. As you can see, vehicles exiting the road have to go over to the other side of the road to go round the cars. If cars are coming from the other direction to turn left into the road, it's completely blind due to the wall of the property on that corner. There have been several near misses and I have also turned into the road and nearly hit someone head on. A funeral cortege was held up because it couldn't move forwards to exit the road. We aren't sure which house these cars belong to but they're definitely one of the properties on Newport Road, either side of the turning. We think there now needs to be double yellow lines both sides of the Lancaster Road turning, for a short distance to prevent cars parking there as it won't be long before there is a collision there.
