Oak Grove is one huge pothole., 3rd April

Wed, 03 Apr 2024 22:30:11 +0100
51.827429 -2.749317

The surf of Oak Grove has been "repaired" by the odd bucket of cold tarmac being trodden into the occasional randonly-selected hole. The most recent has chosen to fill small areas to either side of our house (number 19). This causes a small lake to form directly outside our front entrance., since any way for it to drain away has been blocked.

This section floods every time it rains, making the pavement leading to the primary school impassable. Blocked drains causing flooding, 10th November

Fri, 10 Nov 2023 08:01:46 +0000

Both drains are STILL blocked, despite previous reports. Any meaningful rainfall causes the road & pavement to flood. The pavement is totally impassable to pedestrians, including children walking back & forth to school. As winter approaches and hometime occurs in darkness, your lack of action is endangering life.

Fallen over where rubber matting is damaged, 23rd October

Mon, 23 Oct 2023 19:42:42 +0100
51.808241 -2.734379

On my way home from work at lunch time I slipped and fell on a section of the path that is currently damaged. The rubber matting in one section has been removed, exposing a green underlay which is also damaged, this green section of plastic is incredibly slippy when wet. I'm a fit 42 year old with no medical issues wearing flat shoes, so I dread to think how someone who is elderly, with a pushchair, small child or disabled person will manage this section through the winter. If the council isn't going to complete the path as required, they should at least maintain the temporary rubber matting.
