A Potholes problem has been found, 7th February
A Potholes problem has been found by Northumberland County Council I have received yet another email from a lady called Rosie who lives at Newham Hall, Newham Village near Ellingham. Rosie is requesting I come and look at the seriously terrible potholes on the C63 but I have advised her that by my looking at them won't get them fixed! Req piles of grit to be left, 10th January
Can you please leave some piles of grit at the top and bottom of the access roads in and out to the village please. we dont have a grit bin but due to children needing to go to school and elderly seriously ill residents will n ot be able to use the road ( or ambulance staff ) as the incline is too steep when icy and the forcast is for widespread ice. thanks very much

C63 pothole machine broke down gravel spilled out, 11th November
Potholes on C65 (Ellingham/ Newham Hall area) were filled in but the machine broke down while fixing C63 potholes and job wasn’t properly completed and all the gravel has come out of the potholes

Request for grit pile or bin, 6th November
There is a steep section of road with a blind chicane corner. This is one of the main HGV routes to Seahouses and the coast. Each year HGVs and other vehicles slide off the road, jack-knife or get stuck blocking the entire road. The occupants of Birchwood Hall (5 residential dwellings and farm buildings) request a grit pile be placed on the corner of the bend in the flat verge space directly opposite the farmhouse so that we can treat the surface ourselves during the winter.

Large Pothole approx 100 - 150m East of Henhill, 19th September
At 15.30 hrs on Tuesday 19th September 2023, I was approaching Henhill travelling west from Elford. I hit the pothole which burst my front nearside tyre and may have caused damage to my front offside wheel (to be confirmed). I understand from 2 locals who liv nearby that these have been there for some weeks/months and that NCC repaired others within a few yards of them but failed to repair the one in question.
