Large deep pothole on bend between NE657AB & NE65 7AD, 21st March
Pothole been here for weeks & reported several times. We hit it the dark & have had to replace both tyres on nearside of car. Aware of other people this has happened to in last few weeks.

Several 12-14inch potholes on this stretch of road and getting worse, 20th March
The potholes have been here for at least 6 months if not more. I need to visit a 94 year old lady at netherton but my car can’t take any more so I have to travel 8 miles via alwinton now - more than twice the mileage. Please send someone to , at least, have a look. Thankyou

Absolutely Enormous hole still not mended despite numerous reports…it is dangerous, 15th March
Everyone and his dog has reported this it seems for months and yet this car wrecking crater is continuously ignored….on a bend, extremely dark at night , can only be passed by driving on the opposite side of the road, …….are there problems with getting tarmac as far as Upper Coquetdale to fix the appalling state of the roads ? It seems that repairs are made further down the route to Rothbury but from Charity hall farm onwards the roads are in a dangerous, atrocious state of repair. Why? Please help.

Holes everywhere still, 15th March
There are still holes everywhere on this stretch of road that make the outward journey particularly perilous, especially at night as there aren’t street lights to help. No way of driving on the proper side of the road or in a straight line.
Headed out to do a hospital pick up at ten pm the other night, and despite thinking I knew the roads and the pot holes, I still managed to hit three and the car shuddered, and the tyre warning light came on….but thankfully no blow out. Await to see if any other damage done.
This area has been reported by many for months, never mind weeks now, and nothing is done. What is the point of this website if the public are helping by reporting these dangerous road faults and yet nothing happens? Is there a road survey report available? Please , please mend our local roads.

Lots of potholes still, 9th March
Loads of pot holes in this area still, including the enormous one on the turn off into the forest. Impossible to drive on the right side of the road and extremely dangerous. It will cause a severe accident one of these days, probably to some tourist as the locals are aware of the crater that continues to be ignored despite being reported for months and months. Please fix it as we do pay council taxes.

Pot holes everywhere still….this is not safe, 9th March
Whole road from lightpipe houses along the straight is still full of potholes that require a lot of dodging about and driving on the wrong side of the road,no longer fit for two cars to pass unless one stationary. This is dangerous, is damaging cars and continues to be ignored. This section of road has been reported so many times and yet ignored. It is our main route out of the valley so please can you fix it ?

Coquetdale 500….same enormous hole reported at least six times now and ignored., 7th March
Reporting this yet again….for months reported and ignored, then again on this system on 1st, 15th and 28th Feb and again now on 7th March. The hole is enormous, deep and is a danger to cyclists, cars and the numerous large vehicles currently using the roads here, Inc logging wagons and military vehicles.
It is on the junction with the forestry commission track on right.

Deep 50mil+ wide 300mil wide, 3rd March
This pothole has been there for over a month and is dangerous as it’s on an uphill and not visible until u are either in it or swerving into oncoming side of road to avoid it on a blind point for those approaching
