Pot holes and exposed metal work, 26th April
The entire street looks like the surface of the moon with potholes everywhere. Sanderson Terrace is full of potholes, the metal work is exposed at every drain and theres vegetation growing in the soil where the road surface used to be. The street is in desperate need of repair. In the 26 years we've lived here other streets like The Gables and Palmer Terrace have been resurfaced twice and on both occasions these streets have been in a better state of repair. Sanderson terrace is also an exit street for the Gables and has quite heavy traffic flow.

Rubbish left from bonfire, 24th April
This was previously reported to yourselves and came back as 'not your responsibility' yet the NCC have been out this week to do the grass cutting on this green area at the back of Ena Street/ Mary Street in Widdrington Station. As you can see your grass cutters have gone in circles around the remains of the bonfire. Not only are there potentially hazardous materials lying there (bits of warped metal etc) that kids have been poking around in, but this appears to have been added to. If NCC are responsible for cutting the grass, how is this area not their responsibility? In addition to the waste to be removed, the grass cutters have left a line of long grass up the middle of the field near to Ena Street making it look extremely unkempt. Please can the rubbish be removed from the bonfire before a child seriously hurts themselves and the grass be sorted out ASAP or at least explain your reasons for not doing so.

Speed sign does not work, 16th April
The speed sign which calculates vehicle speeds as they come into the village along the B1337 has not worked for some time. This is there to slow drivers down who come from a national speed limit stretch of road, into a 30mph. Vehicles, mainly cars are still travelling at speed through the village and it rather dangerous, especially at school bus drop off times

Remnants of bonfire, 9th April
On the green at the back of Ena Street/Mary Street there are the remnants of last year's bonfire. These have been disregarded with some potentially hazardous materials within it (bits of metal and wood etc). This has in turn been attracting local children to poke about within the waste which is of significant concern and has been ongoing since November 2023. Please can this be cleared before there is an accident.

Blocked drain, cars driving on “wrong” side of road still splash onto pavement, 9th April
Drain is blocked again, presumably from the debris that was left lying after the hedge opposite was cut with a flail cutter several months ago. This has caused a flood across the road which vehicles have difficulty avoiding, the resulting splashes are covering both pavements and any passing pedestrians are getting soaked. In the evening this is compounded by vehicles parked on the pavement whilst the occupants visit the takeaway pizza shop meaning that pedestrians must walk in the road.
