More fly tipping on the old lane to Hope Farm. Red transit van seen driving up the lane. This would appear to becoming a regular occurrence. Also other materials including gas bottles and old fire surrounds.

Possible broken culvert under road, 16th April
During the heavy rainfall on April 9th a great deal of water was issuing from the retaining wall of the Crown Inn car park retaining wall. This questions the integrity of the culvert that runs under the main road, then under the car park and into Catton Beck. It may well be damaged.

Flooding from highway into premises, 15th April
On the 9th of April we experienced heavy rainfall, water running down the B6295 flowed across the pavenet and down in Allen Mill Yard and ultimately in to the brewery. This impacted our business as we had to stop production and close our retail shop to deal with water ingress. This is the second time this has happened within the last couple of months, the previous occasion we were not on site and the ingress was much more widespread and included damage to stock, materials and equipment.

A drainage ditch up the road at what 3 words is blocked rider.bandstand.puff, 12th April
On Tuesday, after the rains both the drains and the ditch were blocked, with the result that rivers were running into the properties on the South side of The Dene. Residents tried to unblock the drains but there is still a huge blockage at the location shown causing rain and food water to overflow and cascade down the road.

Raised chamber, on my property side of road retaining wall, has subsided away from the wall. This has caused an opening which allows flooding onto my property. Chamber is for outfall of gulley drains line, and others, into line leading to outfall into burn.

Drain overflows whenever it rains, 4th April
When slightly more than light rain, it appears that the drain pipe cannot cope and the drain itself then just overflows. The water cascades down over the junction and can cause local flooding. In frost the whole junction can be dangerous.

Possible tree that is at risk of falling on highway, 25th March
We have been contacted by a neighbour whoo is concerned that the tree at the boundary of a property we own (and rent out) and is beside the road/pavement may be at risk of falling down. We have contacted a tree-woodsman and he thought the tree was fine, but we are concerned and ask whether the council could check it out? I have attached 2 photos. The "problem tree" is the tree the furthest away from the camera in the photo with the 2 trees.

Road is covered in potholes and surface is severely deteriorated throughout., 22nd March
The stretch of Colliery Lane from Staward Villa Farm down to Oakpool is completely covered in potholes of varying size and depth. The surface of the road is severely deteriorated and has completely washed away in parts. At one part the road is so narrow it will soon be difficult to drive on. We use this road on a daily basis (it's the main route from our home) and it is causing damage to our vehicles. Recently, my 84yr old mum needed an ambulance, this did caused major problems. The usual van equipped with a bucket of tar won't be enough this time unfortunately. Resurfacing, in my opinion is essential and long overdue. Thank you!
