I raised this problem last autumn but the case was closed as it was too late in the year to apply weed killer. The weeds all around the road and public parking areas in Beechcroft now have seed heads and the roots are mostly too strong to be removed by hand. I would prefer, if possible , not to have glyphosate applied but a weed killer does need to be used.

Eroding stream bank threatening structural integrity of road, 12th April
Tuesday’s heavy rain has caused erosion of the stream bank on the north side of the C236 (New Lane), and the edge of the road is now exposed.

A Blocked - Flooding of Road/Path problem has been found, 10th April
B6319 junction to Chollerford. Mud on road from yesterdays flood has blocked the drains here, Council has been out clearing mud from road but the drains are blocked and need clearing before any more rain.

Rotten footpath gate post, 21st February
At the top of Burn Lane on crossing the bridge there is a gate to the footpath that is almost impossible to open and close. The gate post is rotten and is close to collapse. It is a health and safety issue as soon it will tumble over and possibly knock over someone who is trying to get through the gate. The gate is not being held up by the post so has to be lifted. This is a well used footpath.

Inadequate pruning carried out, 2nd February
Photos taken on 21/12/23. Planning permission granted to crown lift and remove deadwood. Large deadwood branches still evident. Low branches touching telephone box and telephone wires. Arisings not cleared adequately (more now due to recent storms). We waited a year for the work to be carried out, and it's not good enough. I access my property via Farm Lane and am constantly moving deadwood branches off the Lane that have fallen off the trees. I request that tree surgeons return and remove the deadwood and lift the crown further.

A Dog Fouling problem has been found, 31st January
Please can we put signs up re dog fouling? Customer has to clean up the path every day. Is asking for a waste bin (not too near her property) for dog owners to be able to dispose of the waste. Thanks
