Illegal speed sign, 15th April
My telephone complaint to South Tyneside Council has been ignored. This newly erected incorrect sign is allowing traffic to travel at 30mph in the town centre 20mph zone. The sign schedule on the Regeneration and Environment map shows this should be Ref 3 TSRGD 670. Innocent drivers could be prosecuted for speeding.

Illegal car parking in residents permit areas, 22nd March
Constant illegal parking by customers of a local vets and now increasing illegal parking associated with a nearby school. Residents pay for permits but vets and school visitors completely ignore permit signs in the street. The street is rarely monitored so daily dozens of cars are getting away with parking illegally. Can be all day but specifically 9-11 am and 3-5 pm. School traffic from 3.15pm. Local residents are often unable to park because of people parking illegally. Residents keep asking council to put even a temporary camera up for a week or two in term time to see the problem but nothing is done

Road surface is in terrible condition, 19th March
Road resurfacing has been arranged twice now. Both times the works have been stopped due to parked cars. Please start the works again and notify local police to start Impounding cars that have not been removed even with prior notice.

Abandoned van being stripped, 13th March
This van has been in the location for 4 weeks, it was clearly damaged and abandoned and people have begun removing parts. This will attract further vandalism and is a hazard. The vehicle has no MOT according to the DVLA.

3 recycling bins improperly used, 7th February
A man has moved out of a flat on West Chirton and has dumped a load of non recyclable refuse in 3 bins, two are not numbered and the 3rd is 134.The ones that are not numbered were used communally due to theft of original bins
