Illegal car parking in residents permit areas, 22nd March
Constant illegal parking by customers of a local vets and now increasing illegal parking associated with a nearby school. Residents pay for permits but vets and school visitors completely ignore permit signs in the street. The street is rarely monitored so daily dozens of cars are getting away with parking illegally. Can be all day but specifically 9-11 am and 3-5 pm. School traffic from 3.15pm. Local residents are often unable to park because of people parking illegally. Residents keep asking council to put even a temporary camera up for a week or two in term time to see the problem but nothing is done

Roundabout blocked due to illegal manoeuvres, 20th March
The round about is getting blocked each morning by cars heading east on beach road lopping around the roundabout from the right had lane to try and jump the queues going straight on. This blocks the exit heading to North Shields on the A192 and exasperates the problem.

Road surface is in terrible condition, 19th March
Road resurfacing has been arranged twice now. Both times the works have been stopped due to parked cars. Please start the works again and notify local police to start Impounding cars that have not been removed even with prior notice.

Queuing traffic blocks roundabout, 8th February
Appaling layout, and positioning of crossings causes traffic to queue back onto roundabout from Beach Road West bound, preventing traffic entering from Preston Road North that wishes to cross onto the A192 and causing regular accidents. Urgently requires a keep clear box to allow safe access as a minimum, ideally needs new signals controlling each roundabout entrance, coordinated with crossings for safety of school children.

2 Oil Drums, 25th October
There are 2 oils drums full of used oil dumped on the beach. A local dog walker has told me they have been here around 1 week and they have reported it to the council, but nothing has been done about their removal.

All our pavement outside our houses are cracked and some are raised, 10th October
Lots of people getting new roofs and extensions ! heavy vehicles delivering and working on houses pavements have taken a huge impact ! it’s very dark at night outside our house and worry is they are becoming a trip hazard

Rubbish & Debri from construction site above, 26th September
There is a lot of rubbish on Brewhouse bank from the construction site at the top of the road, it needs to be cleared as it is attracting rats.
The path especially needs to be cleared, due to fish and chips wrappings from the quay.
