Pedestrian crossing not working, 27th April
Although lights are working for traffic the pedestrian crossing lights do not operate. I watched for five minutes while the "Wait" for pedestrians was lit and the "green man" never appeared. During that time the traffic lights went through a number of cycles.

Manhole several cm below road surface casuing dangerous drop, 24th April
When the road was resurfaced the ironwork in this area was not properly raised and this large access panel sits well below the road surface, drivers are swerving to avoid this as it's a substabntial drop and very hazardous to cyclists.

Hazardous path / shared cycleway, 28th March
Nasty accident waiting to happen - crazy that huge potholes are left for months on end here in the soft verge/path regularly used by kids & shoppers on bikes. Needs tarmac. Pedestrian trip hazards too with a few flagstones in need of relaying.

Pavement parking and the lack of enforcement is beyond a joke on Whitley Road. 4 vehicles parked completely on the pavement at 4pm on a Wednesday

Illegal car parking in residents permit areas, 22nd March
Constant illegal parking by customers of a local vets and now increasing illegal parking associated with a nearby school. Residents pay for permits but vets and school visitors completely ignore permit signs in the street. The street is rarely monitored so daily dozens of cars are getting away with parking illegally. Can be all day but specifically 9-11 am and 3-5 pm. School traffic from 3.15pm. Local residents are often unable to park because of people parking illegally. Residents keep asking council to put even a temporary camera up for a week or two in term time to see the problem but nothing is done

Roundabout blocked due to illegal manoeuvres, 20th March
The round about is getting blocked each morning by cars heading east on beach road lopping around the roundabout from the right had lane to try and jump the queues going straight on. This blocks the exit heading to North Shields on the A192 and exasperates the problem.

Sweeper needed on shared path / cycleway 72 near Low Lights car park, 3rd March
The shared path / national cycle route 72 has been covered with sand for ages and it seems it isn’t part of a regular sweeper route. Think there’s a good case for that given how busy it is here.

Lack of a regular sweeping beat, 28th February
The 2 sets of steps at each end of Crescent Vale leading up to Marden Rd are desperately needing swept also the surrounding gulleys, kerbsides and around the trees let alone the accumulated litter in and around Jesmond Terrace, Crescent Vale and The Crescent. I pass this spot regularly and it seems no council eyes pass this area.

Deep pothole on roundabout (Southbound, lane 2), 8th February
Either surface breakup or a depressed drain cover has resulted in a very deep hole that could easily damage tyres/wheels. Car's swerving to avoid ofte cross lane divider dangerously.

Queuing traffic blocks roundabout, 8th February
Appaling layout, and positioning of crossings causes traffic to queue back onto roundabout from Beach Road West bound, preventing traffic entering from Preston Road North that wishes to cross onto the A192 and causing regular accidents. Urgently requires a keep clear box to allow safe access as a minimum, ideally needs new signals controlling each roundabout entrance, coordinated with crossings for safety of school children.

Falling branches, 23rd January
Two trees very close to property I have raised this concern since storm Arwen, recently the branches blowing off the trees during winds are hitting my windows not yet caused damage but very recently just missed hitting my husband as he went into the garden. I am very concerned with the height of these trees and the age of one falls it will fall onto my property causing significant damage
