The whole section of this road from the main road junction is riddled with deep and dangerous potholes which have been present and increasing in size and number for sometime now, our cars suspension and tyres are at risk of damage on a daily basis.

Poor surface causing damage to vehicles, 1st February
There are a large number of wide and deep holes that are causing unavoidable damage to vehicles along this stretch of Engine Road. It's damaging to local business reputation and is costing people money in unavoidable repairs due to the shockingly bad condition of the road. Unless you're driving a 4x4, you can almost guarantee that bumper or wheel damage will occur by transiting this road.

Unusable by normal road going vehicles, 1st February
The entrance to Engine Road is now completely unusable by normal road going vehicles without sustaining damage to bumpers.
Potholes are over 6ft in diameter and in some cases 1ft deep. How can normal road going cars be expected to transit safely? There are businesses and residences that require access to this road.
I have a damaged bumper due to the neglected condition and depth of the unavoidable potholes and will be sending Northumberland County Council a bill for the repairs.

A Gritting Request - Roads problem has been found, 19th December
We would like the road to be added to the route. From from Labourns Fell all the way don't to Ravenside Farm.
This road used to be part of the route but for the last 2 years, hasn't been done.
Could we also request a grit bin or grit piles to be used by residents as it can become very icy.

Roadside drain blocked causing flooding, 27th October
The drain on the side of the road is blocked causing the road to flood and the houses further down the lane are being affected too with the amount of water running down the lane. Water off the fields and the blocked drain. When the cold weather arrives the lane is dangerous and will potentially be inpassible with this amount of frozen water if the drain isn't fixed. Vast amounts of mud on road, clumps etc, 19th September
From the marked point, back towards the small bridge over the burn,the road is covered with large clumps of mud and lesser clumps of mud, this is causing some cars to slide and therefore a hazard to walkers,further back,over the bridge,the bend is also covered in sludge — this corner is blind and too many speed round it then need to brake This situation is urgent

You have stated on a previous report about this,that it is not a council issue — but it’s on a broken branch of a tree,( the whole tree is on council land )on your land,hanging over more of your land, it has been put up without permission and is advertising. How is it not a council issue? Reported once more, if this falls and hits someone, it will be a suable issue, if it falls on a child,it could,at the very least,do serious harm,the very worst does not bear thinking of

Metal sign advertising Humble Wood,? hanging from tree, 26th June
This sign is hanging on effectively a blind bend,on a hill, and a narrow road ( although the bend is 2 car width,with care.) I have driven that way,on the way to a meeting this afternoon,and it momentarily took my eye. I’m horrified how much of a danger that could be if a car,or god forbid,a pedestrian was coming and it had been more than a moment. Surely this is a health and safety issue? If this is an officially approved sign,clearly someone did not survey the area. I appreciate my error in this, but with respect,this sign should not be located either on a bend,nor in such a narrow area

Large metal sign hanging from tree limb, 26th June
