The alarm in the centre has been going off ALL night and is still going, it stops to reset itself then starts blaring again. Mid in footpath/traffic crossing, 29th November
Still mud on the footpath and main road at the traffic lights on Strathaven road Stonehouse. It's a disgrace how long the mucks been lying there. Surely the building sure should have contracted a road sweeper to keep the main road clean? ! I will b foning the police next if nothing gets done in the next few days as if a car suddenly breaks at the crossing they won't stop when it's been raining and I don't want my kids to be standing waiting on the green man when that time comes

Muck at traffic crossing, 28th November
Once again I am logging yet another complaint about the state of the pavement and road at the traffic lights on Strathaven Road Stonehouse. Yesterday we had rain which has mixed with the already existing mud to form a pool of what can only b described as 'glor'. It is a skippy mess and my children's footwear and bottom halves are getting dirty every time we cross. I have no other option but to use the lights as I am crossing with 3 children and for their safety the lights are our only means of crossing the main road. I would appreciate if the matter b dealt with sooner rather than later. Thank you

Mud at the traffic crossing, 26th November
May I first of all thank you for sending a road sweeper to clean the muck off the road at the traffic lights on the Strathaven road but this is the mess that has been left for my kids to jump across and to take my pram wheels over. The mud has sprayed off the lorries brushes back onto the path making the matter worse. I can safely say that once the rain comes the path/crossing will just be a slippery mess.

Mud at the zebra crossing, 26th November
A couple of months back a new puddle appeared right on the road where I cross at the traffic lights on Strathaven road at west mains. There seemed to have been some sort of work carried out at the pavement at the crossing and since then the water has remained on the road with nowhere to run off. Since ground work commensed on the building site the puddle slowly turned to muck as the road didn't appear to be getting cleaned. As I use the lights daily with a pram and 2 small children going to school crossing at the lights is bad enough but having to help them jump over the muck is dangerous as the red light doesn't give us time to negotiate the muddy puddle. As much as peppa pig enjoys jumping in muddy puddles I prefer to get my children to school with clean shoes and uniforms. It's only a matter of time before a member of the public slips and falls.

Dog mess on the pavements, 24th November
I walk 2 of my children to Newfield primary and nursery every day pushing my baby in her pram. I had to wash my wheels this morning because I drove through poo trying to avoid another. My son also stood on one. It beggars belief that people are still letting their dogs foul on pavements knowing that school children are walking in that direction. I have been walking to Newfield primary every day since school returned in August and I don't think there has been a day I haven't saw mess on a pavement. I walk from mainsacre drive along to the traffic lights at Strathaven road and along to Udston Mill road up to muirhead. I am constantly shouting to the kids to watch their feet.

Home Business - Cars constantly blocking driveway, 21st January
The owners' of number 3 Brodie Place run a business from their house where multiple number of customers visit daily. Unfortunately, it is a regular occurrence where our driveway (Number 6) is regularly blocked by these customers. The street we stay on is quite narrow with no pavements so cars are parked on the road at all times but this has been going on for quite a while now since we moved into our house a year ago. They do not seem to be understanding that it is severely annoying when we have to struggle and sometimes go up to the end the street to turn to come back down, just in order to get into our driveway without hitting a customer's vehicle. Sometimes, it is nearly impossible to swing into our driveway. I would like to emphasise the fact that the street we live in is very small and there is certainly NO room for someone to run a business from home. I really would appreciate something to be done about this as we are completely fed up with it.
