Light head needs dipped diwn from housecwindows, 14th September
Appreciate the need for safety, but thus is impinging on our quality of sleep. Even with blackout blinds, the light still get in at the sides of the window to light up the bedrooms. The light head needs tilted down a notch. We used to love looking at the night sky too. Now the light pollution had made our property a flood lit area good enough for a maximum secure yard.

Parking problem, 15th July
Neighbours in our cul de sac turn it into a car park with up to 8 cars parked. There are only 3 adults living in the house. There is frequently space in their driveway but they park in front of neighbours windows

Street light out and pavements broken and sunken, 21st July
Faulty street light out for over 3 months. Pavements have not been repaired since the 1970s. Lighting repair squads have visited twice and the street light out at 100 Goremire Road has not been repaired. People walk on the road due to the poor repair of the pavements. Sunken areas form pools of water which ice over in the winter.

Footbridge over Jock's Gill tree fallen on bridge., 26th December
Metal footbridge over Jock's Gill about half mile SW of Carluke Station at junction with Golf Course circular footpath. Tree has fallen on tree. Also boards are missing at the north end of the bridge deck.

Kilmartin lane, 26th November
The path which runs at the back of the houses on kilmartin lane is damaged and in need of repair. It's very uneven and one of my children has fallen over due to this. I have also twisted my ankle when walking with bags of groceries on this path.
With winter upon us I'm concerned for the safety and well-being, not only of my own family, but also elderly residents who could be injured due to this uneven and dangerous walkway.
I would very much appreciate if this could be inspected and repaired at your earliest convenience before someone is seriously injured.

Very Dangerous Junction, 25th July
This junction is a major accident waiting to happen. The give way at the junction is not clear for vehicles traveling along Victoria Avenue. This means vehicles ( mainly delivery vans unfamiliar to the area ) cross this junction at full speed without stopping. Some have slammed their brakes on and skidded completely across the junction. I work from a home office that overlooks the junction and I have seen this happening countless times. As a street which is very busy with school children both walking and on bikes too and from the local school this really needs urgent attention before the schools are back from holiday. I can provide CCTV footage if required from today at 15:27 25/07/2014 when the latest accident nearly happened.

Road repair needed, 5th June
There are a number of potholes on kirk road in front of our house. these have steadily got worse since the winter months plus there is a lack of proper kerbing around this area. all kinds of traffic use this road including HGVs. a number of road repairs have been carried out in the town but these have been missed. please can we have them repaired?

Manhole cover exposed and pothole, 21st February
Manhole cover exposed, had to replace tyres and put 2 new springs on rear of car at cost of £300. Will cause more damage.

Potholes on road at eastfield road Carluke. In front of #70 and to the corner at #60. Risk of damage to tyres / alloys due to depth and width.

Roads and Pavements, pothole, 18th February
First noticed on Thu, 17 Feb 2011.
Potholes all across entrance from a721 to Cameronian drive, Carluke. Risk of damage to alloys and tyres. Were roadworks on a721 for a few weeks. Would have thought they'd fix them but they did not.

Very large potholes across entire width of road, 8th February
The road surface is completely destroyed to a significant depth right across the road outside Hamburg Cottages.
The road is now almost impassible.

Access blocked, 13th January
No 7 and 9 belstane road. Access restricted due to cars parking across from our drives. As we have to swing out to drive in or out these cars or vans make this extremely difficult. This was reported to site manager at school building works who supplied me with cones, the drivers are now moving the cones. We need a more permanent solution( yellow lines) as this has been done further down our street. This double parking on give way lines etc is causing chaos for buses etc trying to get up and down this road. Something has to be done.
