There is a big dip in the road due to a metal grate but it is not quite a road pothole, 7th February

Wed, 07 Feb 2024 11:35:46 +0000
52.161428 -0.643196

This pothole has been here for at least 3 months and is on a bend opposite the church/out buildings- going from Northampton to Olney on the A428. I have gone over the pothole numerous times and have lost control of my vehicle. When I try to avoid the pothole, I have to go into the other lane with incoming traffic. This has also resulted in my wheel being unaligned

Obscured road signs, 20th August

Sun, 20 Aug 2023 00:01:53 +0100
52.160198 -0.603887

At around the location identified on the map, the 40mph signs are totally obscured by overhanging vegetation. I know the signs are there and slowed, however, the driver behind was clearly unaware of the speed reduction and almost drove into the rear of me! As a matter of urgency, please can the trees be trimmed back to reveal the 40mph signs? Thank you.

Faded road markings... no cats eyes, 30th October

Fri, 30 Oct 2020 19:57:06 +0000
52.161284 -0.642631

To whom it may concern, I am writing with regards to the highway A428 in the small hamlet/village of Cold Brayfield, Bucks (close to Turvey on the beds/ bucks boarder). During the dark winter months, the road is difficult to navigate due to a lack of any decent road markings (very faded white lines, and no cats eyes). There are also no street lamps going through the area, which has a lot of trees making it even more dark therefore hampering night time navigation. Contrast this part of the road with a section just another minute further towards Lavendon, and the difference is marked. Is it possible to, at the very least, have the road markings refreshed please?? Cats eyes would be wonderful too.

Road surface badly damaged, 7th August

Fri, 07 Aug 2020 17:34:22 +0100
52.15465 -0.630387

It looks as though a tractor has tried ploughing the surface of the road between Newton Blossomeville and Turvey (in the Turvey direction). There are gouges in the surface, tarmac has been pulled from the road and in places big chunks of tarmac have been pulled up. This creates a danger to road users. This pictures are taken in the direction away from Turvey. The point marked on the map is roughly where the damage changes for the worse, there is far greater damage on the Turvey side of the map marker.

Turvey paths and roads, 24th July

Sat, 24 Jul 2010 12:55:21 +0100
52.1646175272819 -0.620580922345717

Please repair and upgrade footpaths and roads in Turvey village. The roads concerned are the High Street and Carlton Road. The path is on Norfolk Road. All of these problems have been previously reported (last year and this year) but not acted upon. Disrepair causes risk to pedestrians and road-users, wear to car-tyres and allows the weather to increase the rate of surface deterioration. A stitch in time saves nine. Many thanks.
