From junction of Main Road for 150 yards towards Cranfield, a series of Potholes, sunken trenches and manholes meaning that the only way to preserve Wheels, tyres and suspension is to drive down the middle of the road or totally on the wrong side. Having hit one of these on the way to work on my motorcycle recently, I am in some spinal discomfort. This section of road needs proper resurfacing and levelling.

Over 3feet in width and 6 inches deep, 10th May
These potholes have been here for in excess of 2 years. It is on a side road onto the main road. The construction is concrete over wire, and the wire is protruding in several places. It's only a matter of time before it pierces a tyre of someone entering a road where people drive in excess of 50mph, the result could be disastrous.

Large square sunken hole, 26th February
This previously repaired hole (approx 1 metre square) has sunken badly and now poses a threat to suspension, tyres etc. It is on a junction and difficult to avoid. Two wheelers will come a cropper on this one, needs repairing asap

There is an access road from the main Rd in Astwood onto the A422, it is concrete over wire, and in a very poor state. I was pulling onto the A422 and it caused my engine to stall. A lorry that was coming from the Bedford to Milton Keynes direction was 200 yards away when the stall happened, made no attempt to slow down! I was panicking,I just about got onto the other side of the road, but couldn't steer because of the lack of power steering. How I was missed I do not know,but he sounded his horn as his lorry was barely inches from me. I would guess that he has a camera in the cab, and would put the situation down to an idiot, but until you have been snared by that pothole you do not realize what a hazard it is. It will catch someone out in poor weather conditions and an accident will be unavoidable.

These have been here for years and need addressing before a cyclist or motorcyclist is killed. I'm not too keen on sacrificing on someone or myself to prove the point.
