If you look at the welcome page of my website www.ivydenegardens.co.uk, you will see that planting trees or any other vegetation in grass, that they will not survive because the grass takes all the rain and any nutrients you put on top and the dry ground leaves no water for the trees. why do all roadworks, local authorities continue to waste money in planting trees this way. do you not recognise that plants need water? You have probably planted these trees within the last month

Litter the whole way, 9th March
I have just driven from Canterbury to Horsham and the roads are absolutely disgusting with litter. Shame on you national highways you need to pick it up. The roads are absolutely filthy and you need to do better

Litter on A249 and M2, 29th February
I have travelled on these roads for the past 42-years and I have never seen the litter situation as bad as it is now. It gets worse week after week. ITS NOW A DISGRACE! There is even plastic wrap “growing” in the trees now and hundreds of clear plastic drinking bottles that appear to be filled with urine! Is there an actual plan to clear up Kent and if so what is it and when is it going to start. Day after day I sit in traffic jams on the A249, M2 or one of the roads off the A249 into Sittingbourne, during the current roadworks and road closures why are you not taking the opportunity to clear the litter and keep it clear!

Very bad litter all along m2 especially near Jct 5, 28th January
Very bad litter on both sides of M2 and in central reservation-all along m2 when I travel up and down the section from Canterbury to Gillingham. Worse near Junction 5 and stays really bad from there the closer to Gillingham that you go

Crossing a249 stockbury saturday 23rd september, 21st September
We are a farm in the village of stockbury with access to a249 via church hill. We have feed and farm vehicles that need access to out farm and want to ask how our lorries and farm machinery can have access in and out of the village as they cannot use the narrow lanes that surround us only access is via church hill

Pothole, 23rd July
Large, deep pothole on M2 Jct 5 coastbound. Seen in Lane 1 between off slip and on slip of junction. Very difficult to avoid. Only seems to have appeared in the last couple of days.

There are quite a few potholes now and you are having to swerve to avoid damaging your car., 22nd July
It has been reported but nothing seems to have changed. I could not take a picture as I am in my car and it would not be safe to do so. Maybe one of your staff can have a look for you and recommend some repairs to be carried out. The motorist does pay road tax and maybe it should be spent on repairing the roads.

Traffic light phasing, 13th June
M2 London bound J5 exit slip to Stockbury roundabout. The lights are holding the traffic too long this causes queues to build on the main London bound carriageway particularly at peak times. Sat in this queuing is extremely dangerous with passing traffic travelling at motorway speeds.

Traffic queing in live lanes and using hard shoulder, 17th May
Recent changes to the J5 roadworks off the carriageway have caused traffic to queue on live lanes of the M2 where no speed restrictions are in place. Today users were queueing down the hard shoulder well in advance of the junction and so exiting the motorway at the junction was impossible to do safely.

Huge amounts of rubbish on verges, 2nd April
I contacted you months ago regarding the huge amounts of rubbish (inc tyres, car bumpers etc) everywhere from A249 going onto the M2 Junction 5 Sittingbourne to Bexley in both directions. Nothing has happened despite actions being promised. Parts of the M2 have not been litter picked for years. Its a National embarrassment which friends of ours who stayed with us from France, could not believe. They said England is the dirtiest country in Europe now which it never used to be the case. You are paid to keep the main highways clean and tidy but feel you are not doing the job. The local MP in Swale, Gordon Henderson is aware of this and even he cannot prompt any action. PLEASE CLEAN THIS SMALL PART OF KENT UP. Thanks

Unacceptable level of litter & debris on A road, 19th March
The street of A249 in both directions, between Detling (jct 7 of M20) and Stockbury, Kent. The amount of litter & other debris is totally appalling, not to mention disgusting, disgraceful and inconsiderate. This appears to be getting worse as presumably people see so much there, they must think it's OK to add to it!

Advance warning, 19th March
No advanced warning before junction 5 London bound saying that the exit slip was closed. This lack of prior warning caused excessive traffic build up on all surrounding roads. Had there been advanced warnings before J6 and Brenley Corner roundabout a lot of drivers would have been able to take a different route and save themselves a lot of time and frustration.
