I just wanted to make you aware just in case you haven’t been informed as I think its important you know after the dead tree fall at the bottom of box lane and the subsequent death of James Shilling by tree fall. Yet another dead tree fell the other night damaging the BT line and our fencing, photo attached. It was minor damage but again crossed the road. I also attach further photos of other currently existing dead trees of which there are a lot. There are more dangerous trees overhanging the road. The situation is perilous for the public using the road.

Pot Hole, 12th April
Sorry if map pin is in the wrong place. Actual location is M2, westbound, almost by marker post 73.3. Inside lane, right hand side of lane. Nasty pothole which has caught me out a few times in the last few weeks (low-slung, hard suspension car) and which I now carefully look out for! Road is otherwise in good condition and therefore possibly not on your immediate-timescale radar for maintenance. Hope this helps. I'll look out for roadworks there soon (!?). Thank you.

30 mph sign overgrown by hedge., 21st January
30 mph sign overgrown by hedge and totally invisible even in winter. The sign on the other side of the road was removed after a flood event over 2 years ago and has not been replaced. This means there are no speed limit signs for traffic entering The Street, Newnham from Seed Road.

Nettles and low growth on trees make the footpath difficult to negotiate for people with prams pushchairs, wheelchairs etc and it is dangerous to walk in the riad.
