FIXMYSTREET IN M44 6GP
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of M44 6GP:
Dead fawn between the right lane and central reservation, 26th April
Sorry, I've pin pointed an estimate location. It's on the M62, Eccles, Manchester as you're driving away from the city. The deceased fawn is close to the central reservation where there's a concrete division, but I'm very worried that other drivers might not spot it and drive over it as it's still close to the right lane.

40MPH Speed limit sign, 14th March
I travel from MCR to Birchwood most days, the speed limit is often set to 60mph until you get to the first speed camera where the speed limit drops to 40mph. Theirs never any obstruction requiring the speed to be reduced however ever the 20mph drop in speed caused most drivers to brake in order to get down to the 40mph speed limit. This is dangerous, especially in wet conditions. It won’t be long until someone is hurt. Once you pass the speed camera the next sign is back to National Speed Limit. Why? Is this to intentionally cause driver to be caught speeding?

Contradictory messages on matrix sign eastbound M62 J11 to J12, 19th January
Passed a matrix sign on the M62 at around 9:45 this morning with two traffic signs. The first was the slippery Road sign, with a message to slow down, which was sensible given the icy conditions. Right next to it, however, was a national speed limit sign. These messages are contradictory to a motorist not breaking the speed limit. Alternatively, the implication may be that it is assumed that most motorists are breaking the law (unlikely given the speed cameras in this area) and should slow down to national speed limit, which would be a worthwhile recommendation irrespective of the driving conditions. It didn't really surprise me anyway, given the regularity of unusual speed limits being set on this stretch of the motorway e.g. 70mph signs in pouring rain at rush hour, 50mph signs at 10pm in good conditions with hardly any cars on the road etc.

Miss use of signs, 6th October
Every day traveling to Manchester on m62 from birchwood Warrington the speed and warning signs are being miss used signing up problems which are NOT OCCURRING or UNNECESSARY SPEED LIMITS I:e showing congestion at 5:30am ! when there isn't any AT ALL ! it's the same at 2:45pm on my way back to Warrington with TOTALLY UNNECESSARY 40MPH LIMIT ( good for revenue at the camera level with irlam cutnock lane bridge ) . I was nearly back ended by a truck this morning (6/10/22 at 5:38am) at the camera location near irlam estate this morning ! as trucks don't seem to heed the unnecessary speed limits .. I had ALL these incidents of unnecessary signage and restrictions on 4K dash camera ready for publication on YouTube and I am currently preparing footage of these incidents to send motoring magazines and papers. SORT IT OUT PLEASE BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED !!

Speed camera flash danger, 5th January
4/1/22 @ 18:49:09 (location co ordinates N53.45150 W2.42818)
We narrowly avoided an rta last night as the speed camera facing the opposite direction flashed as we were passing under it. The flash was so intense that it momentarily obstructed my view completely, followed by glare in my right eye. We originally thought that it was lightning as it was so intense, however viewing my dashcam footage, it became clear that it was in fact the flash from the speed camera. I feel this needs looking into as i am thankfully a confident driver but others may not be so lucky.
