Vibrations caused by road deterioration as a result of motor vehicle traffic, 9th April
I wish to draw your attention to a pressing concern directly impacting my residence. Over the past three months, a series of substantial cracks have developed, exacerbated by the unpredictable weather conditions. Ordinarily, I would not be overly perturbed by such issues. However, this problem has escalated to the extent that it is directly affecting my property, particularly when large vehicles traverse the area, causing vibrations that shake my residence. Despite owning this property for several years without incident, the vibrations induced by the deteriorating road surface have led to cracks appearing in my property. Doors that once closed effortlessly now require considerable force.
I observed earlier this year that roadworks we're initiated in this vicinity. However, the installation of what appears to be a small speed bump does not adequately address the underlying issue of road decay, which extends over a broader area.
The section of concern spans from 200 Fernhead Road to 182 Fernhead Road. Along this stretch, numerous cracks continue to worsen by the day. I implore you to take urgent action to address these cracks promptly. Failure to do so will compel me to escalate this matter to my local representatives, including MP Karen Buck, Stuart Love, and Adam Hug.
Although I am currently unable to provide visual documentation due to a lack of access to a phone or camera, I strongly urge you to conduct a thorough inspection of the area. You will undoubtedly witness the severity of the issues I have outlined.
