Barry Road, 30th April
Good morning. Here are two pictures of two of the bin areas on Barry Road this morning. Whilst I know bin collection is today it is appalling that this level of rubbish which is a health hazard continues. The smell is so bad sometimes you cannot walk past it. You have to walk in the road to avoid it which is not safe. It is very clear that one collection a week is not working. Perhaps have a forum with the residents to come up with ideas on the best way to resolve the situation; put up cameras even if they are fake ones as a deterrent; an additional collection day; extra bins; one designated covered area to house the communal bins instead of three; bigger signs highlighting that those caught will be prosecuted. If you can implement some kind of deterrent your residents on Barry Road would really appreciate it. Something, anything would be great as it is really stressful and disheartening that week in week out your residents here have to live like this. It's horrible. It also creates a free buffet for the neighbourhood animals who love what's on offer. As a council you own this estate. Its your land and properties. People outside just see it as a dumping ground for their unwanted rubbish. Please help us. Kind regards Christine
