No pedestrian cycle, 14th May
The traffic lights are skipping the pedestrian crossing phase so pedestrians have to take their chances when there is a break in traffic. This is increasing risk for local residents and thousands of students and staff travelling to and from the nearby university. I believe a similar report was raised over a month ago but the fault has still not been addressed.

The old bin area is still being used by residents when it’s not cleared the rubbish builds up. This has been there over a week. Member of public has been seen to dump numerous bags there still

Rubbish left on our doorstep, 14th May
There have been bags of rubbish left on practically a daily basis that are not in bags for local rubbish collection, most bags are open so the contents spill out onto the pavement and then passers by are dumping whatever they like on top and beside. Label on one package was from brewers yard and this morning from up the road, I think it’s a cleaner that is doing it, as it’s after hours or before 7 in the morning.

Obstruction, 13th May
One lane of traffic is closed with traffic light signals at both ends. Because of its location outside the entrance to the Barbican Centre cars often stop outside the entrance and block traffic, as well as stopping in front of the traffic lights to pick people up. The traffic lights are also slow to respond and drivers often go through red lights into a blind corner.
Stopping restrictions need to be in place and the traffic lights need to be adjusted to be more responsive. There is potential for an accident here. There have already been angry confrontations between motorists.

Nobu hotel extracting sewerage, 13th May
Nobu hotel frequently extract sewage from the it building. Rather than carry this out in front of their own property they run a pipe right outside our building with on Blackall St or Paul St and extract. They carry this out in the middle of the night.

Scaffolding fall near miss -, 13th May
Barclay Scaffolding Ltd operating on behalf of Newman Displays for Savoy Theatre stacked a large scaffold pole (approx 15ft) incorrectly. This resulted in it falling and narrowly missing a member of the public whilst they were passing by, the pole hit the backpack she was wearing.
This happened at 08:39 13/05/24 on Strand outside the Coal Hole Pub. CCTV footage has been saved and logged with The Savoy Hotel.
