Chemical fumes - likely a chlorinated phenol, 12th April
This has been reported before, but I can't add my thoughts, so posting new. I am a lecturer of chemistry at King's College London, and strongly suspect that the chemical being released from this site is a phenol or chlorinated phenol.

Strong Toxic Fumes, 9th April
Since last week extremely toxic smelling fumes are coming from building work i this area - these are giving me and many other local residents bad headaches. Given that the ground in this area is known to be toxic (old dye factories) this is very worrying.

Hi guys, there’s a construction site next to Hackney Wick station and the chemical smell that’s coming from the site is awful, I live nearby on Leabank Square and anytime I leave the house I get constant headaches. Please look into it.

Building site GASSING locals, 8th April
The building site on Wallis road is excavating on a brownfield site, chemical plants used to sit on this site! And we've been GASSED for months now. It's awful. I have headaches and have started wheezing when breathing. HACKNEY COUNCIL AFTER TAXES ONLY.

I am writing to alert you to a concerning issue at the Hackney Yards construction site. Since digging began around April 3rd, a strong pollution odor has emerged, raising fears of exposed chemical waste due to the area’s history with contaminated ground.

Same problem for over an year just proof hackney council dont care about residents in here, 6th April
Overflowing bins with rotten smell of fish. By overflown i mean twice the size of bin plus they stacked two bins next to another so they can even stack more on top of it. Now not only that warmer time is back and stench of fish is UNCONTROLLABLE

As the excavation started few days ago (~3rd of April) in the Hackney Yards construction site there is a very strong chemical smell coming out of it. Given a history of contaminated ground in the area I am worried they may have exposed some chemical waste.

BIG MANHOLE COVER WIDE OPEN on underpass road near Bromley by bow/ELAM school. Big enough for kid to fall in deep, massive safety risk for moped, motorcycle, bicycle riders and cars. Reported this morning, still not repaired tonight.

Mattresses and furniture left to rot, 28th March
Several mattresses and book cases have been left by the communal bins for the building and have blocked access to the recycling facilities.
This is getting worse as more people are now dumping stuff and there is a 3rd matress

Japanese Knotweed, 26th March
There is Japanese Knotweed growing on the pavement and presumably without the council owned site. I noticed this towards the end of last year. Please could Hackney Council undertake a full Japanese knotweed management plan to avoid further spread.
