The top platform section of this stile on a well used public footpath is seriously rotted. The rest of the stile is OK, but it's no longer capable of supporting an average person's weight.
Using the adjacent gate isn't an option, as it's padlocked.

A470 incorrectly labelled, 24th February
The sign going westbound on the A487 through Penrhyndeudraeth, just opposite the Jewsons entrance shows Porthmadog straight ahead at the crossroads eventually reaching the A470. The A470, in actual fact, turns off right just after northbound from Trawsfynydd towards Llan Ffestiniog and the proceeds up through Blaenau Ffestiniog and on to Llandudno, ending there. It goes nowhere near Porthmadog and, to indicate you can eventually reach the A470 by following this route, whilst eventually true, I could just as easily say I can reach London!!
