Not enough signage, 27th June
The signs here show in small (but unable to see properly when driving) a turning on a bend… recently a motorcyclist lost their lives here due to unseen turning due to the councils lack of upkeep of the grass… had there been approximate warnings then the cyclist wouldn’t have been going at speed which ended his life. Previous correspondence from the council say that these signs are “defected” what the councilor who visited the site doesn’t understand is that I’ve lived here all my life and that small “defect” which was put on to clearly help motorists know there’s a junction on a blind bend was on the sign when they went up. So probably the council themselves “defected” it to help others… but by saying that the councilor is also saying they don’t care for road safety… also busses have been known to stop on the blind bend… imagine crashing into the rear end of a bus at speed…… the council need to do something before there’s another death and not hide behind the word “legislation” lives come above “legislation” now please act before another family face a loss again

Avoid another death in the future, 31st May
Last weekend saw the death of a motorcyclist in this area. Where many people would blame driver error the problem is actually not drivers but the warnings given to drivers about a junction on a bend.. not only that, poor council maintainance of grass cutting. The junction in question is obscured with overgrowths such as grass / hedges etc but also the signage which the council show isn’t adequate for the type of road… it’s a 60mph road. Therefore, better warning signage needed of that junction so cars can slowdown to an adequate speed not just for the slight bend but also for the junctions which are on the bend which is obscured and hidden.
