Severe amount of potholes with considerable depth, 28th February
Road has been eroding for a long time and has gotten more problematic over the winter period. Difficult to drive up and get traction. Risk to damaging vehicles. Especially outside 'the mount'

Badly gulleyed road surface., 17th January
One side of the carriageway has been virtually removed due to water not being managed by the drainage system due to lack of routine maintenance. Perhaps you can advise when this highway was last inspected to ensure that it complied with legal minima. The lack of road surface and the fact that this is a steep hill (around 15%-20%) means that the road is virtually impassable to a standard passenger car (minimum legal ground clearance of 110mm) due to hollows in the order of 120 - 180mm. This will also impact the ability of emergency service vehicles.

Badly gulleyed road surface, 17th January
The roadway has been completed washed away on one side of the highway for a distance of around 20m and is now at a depth of around 150mm. This cannot be avoided by four wheeled vehicles and makes the road which is a steep hill approx 15%, making it virtually impassable to passenger cars (legal ground clearance minimum 110mm) and emergency vehicles.

Over grown hedge obscuring visibility and limiting ability to pass oncoming vehicles, 20th October
There is a long stretch of hedging in this area, which has not been cut for many years. It is protruding 8 feet or more into the road. It means that you have to drive into the trees to pass an oncoming vehicle and you cannot see if pedestrians or cyclists are there. It’s very dangerous indeed.

Potholes up to 140mm deep, 15th March
At several points in the road, gulleys have formed which are now as wide as the carriageway. Several were measured in the range 90mm and often 120mm up to 140mm.
This makes the road extremely likely to cause damage to a passenger car and makes access to the property difficult other than by 4x4, which means you cannot gain access if you don't have one......how would emergency services cope?

Dirty Tourist Information Sign, 24th September
The Tourist Information/Gwybodaeth i Dwristaidd sign in Glyn Ceiriog is very dirty, i have attempted to partially clean it but a pressure washer and brush would do better. I trust Wrexham Borough Council/Cyngor Bwrdeistref Wrecsam would like to make a better impression on visitors to the borough?

Large gouges running along and also across the road., 27th June
The gouges are now so long and so deep, running both down the road and across, that the any normal car will ground out. This makes it even more difficult as this is a steep hill. This has been bad for a couple of years, but I cannot realistically access our property now with a car.

Road surface has deteriorated, 25th May
The road surface has deteriorated so much that there is now no route through without driving into a pothole. When using a normal car, it grounds out, and when trying to drive up this steep hill in a van it is very difficult in the wet.
The location marked on the map is only one area, and there are several others, particularly by the mast (on map) where there is no road surface left.
It is not likely that emergency services would be able to gain access via this road.

Big Pothole, 28th March
Cars are everyday swerving out of the way. Gone past the point of being a nuisance. Been here getting worse around 2 months, with more heavy traffic and vehicles in the area it needs fixing.

4 to 5 inch deep runways where the road is now being undercut and disappearing Nothing has been done 6 years. Stryt pentre serves 8 houses and is barely passable now

Illegal persistent parking in bus lay-by resulting in dangerous traffic hazard, 19th November
I live in Dolywern and the same person keeps a Large camper van parked overnight 7 days per week in the bus lay-by. This results not only in the bus having to stop in the road on a sharp blind bend as can easily be seen by the Map but I have witnessed serval near misses as a result. I have spoken to the neighbours who state that they have told the owner that they are illegally parked and that there is a suitable car park adjacent to his property but the owner ignores all requests. The parking overnight in a lay-by is illegal and I do know that local residents have complained and elderly visitors to the chapel had previously complained as the lay-by is outside of the chapel but the owner of the van ignored them. The last bus is around 6.30pm so had the owner been considerate he would not park there until after 6.30 pm and not before 7.00am The owner lives in he cottage next door but one to the Chapel and has adequate off road parking which is chooses not to utilise This have been an issue for at least 2 years but the owner is not easy to reason with.

Rough road surface and potholes, 2nd July
As the road is loose surface it has been washed away by the rain just above the communications mast. Because there is no tarmac at this steepest point the infill will always be washed away. Further up the Bedlwyn to Caemor Woor road there is a series of potholes which need filling in. This is an ongoing problem and has been like this for at least 6 months.

Blocked roadside drains., 6th June
Drains full of sludge for many years. Maybe time to clear by jetting it out? Water is getting more excessive as it flows down into a lay-by nearby. Thanks.
