FIXMYSTREET IN LL13 0EZ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LL13 0EZ:
Worsening pot holes ++++, 4th April
The potholes along this stretch of road are outrageous. It’s dangerous with people swerving to avoid them. You have to slow down to well below 30mph to avoid doing damage to the car. It has been a problem for months and months. They repair them with rubble which only lasts until the next time is rains and then all of the holes are back AND deeper. This needs sorting before someone has an accident.

Damaged road surface, 19th February
There is a few hundred meters of sub standard road surface. Potholes, breaking/crumbling surface, damage to verges, damage to markings
The damage to the edges forces cars into the center of the road and could cause an incident.
This is even worse in the dark, when a car is unlikely to see the potholes and they are severe enough to cause catastrophic damage to a tyre, which could result in a traffic incident.

Overgrown public footpath, 30th June
Footpath OVE/25 is completely overgrown and impassable - both with illegally planted maize crop over the footpath and long overgrow vegetation. As I'm sure you are aware, landowners are responsible for keeping rights of way open and useable - this includes clearing vegetation that can obstruct the route. Similarly, field edge paths should not be cultivated or ploughed - this path was ploughed almost up the the edge of the field and there is certainly not a path of 1.5m wide left for walkers.

Constant water flowing down footpath, 23rd May
There is a spring in the bank alongside this footpath that discharges water onto the path. This makes the surface of the concrete track extremely slippery at all times due to the algae etc that is developing there. I have slipped several times on this path and have no wish to fall and twist my ankle, or worse. Also, at the bottom of the track, where the water flows into, and collects, in the field gateway, it is always muddy and slippery, even in the height of summer. Whilst the spring water is a naturally occuring source (although it only started flowing out onto this footpath when the houses at the top were developed), it is causing a dangerous situation to arise on the footpath - which is something the Council can and should do something about, for example, by diverting the flow of the water away from the track.
