Why on earth are their council staff here mowing grass? It's barely begun growing yet and you've just destroyed an important source of food for insects as all the early wild flowers are now gone.

Broken GPO manhole cover, 7th June
This manhole has been broken for several months, possibly longer and appears to be dipping down in the middle more than before. I am concerned that it is unsafe to walk on. It is directly outside my house at 2 New Street, L40 2QP. Please can it be replaced.

Pothole at edge of road, 22nd March
This pothole has been developing for some time and is where a road edge block is missing. for a long time, the hole was quite shallow but, with increased traffic, and vehicles pulling over, the pothole is now quite deep and long - 90cm longx 25 cm wide and 10 cm deep. the edge presented to traffic is a vertical concrete edge which makes a drive over a major jolt in the dark. to my knowledge it has caused one tyre failure.

Poor repair opening up, 22nd March
This repair was done a few months ago on a wet day and the edges weren't sealed. it is not opening up again. its approximately square 30 x 30 cm and deepening with every truck which drives along the lane.

Repair has opened up, 22nd March
A large deep pothole was repaired here aa few months ago but it has started to open up again. the rate of loss is fast. it's right in the path of vehicles especially if they are trying to avoid splashing pedestrians.

125mm deep pothole - ripped my tyre, 21st January
This road is really bad and is the only route i can take to travel to and from work, i hit this pothole around 6.15pm on Friday 17th January and instantly it popped my tyre. The pothole has not only popped my tyre but scratched my alloy. Unsure how long it has been present but i had two other witnesses that did it 10/15 minutes before me on Friday, all had to wait 4 hours using hazards to wait for a pick up truck. This pothole has damaged all three of our vehicles.

Series of potholes next to gully, 2nd January
At each side of the gully potholes have developed and are now quite large - 300 w x 600 l x 90 d . this is a passing place on the narrow lane and trucks routinely drive over the gully. as a result ot repeated drive overs, the concrete surrounding / supporting the gully is cracked.

This pothole is about 500 x 500 x 100 [deep] mm and is almost square. when it fills with water it will just look like the other nearby puddles and has the potential to destroy a car or bike wheel if driven through.

Hazard for pedestrians, 1st December
At this location there is a dip in the road surface [approx 1.5m long x 0.9m wide] which accumulates water. Passing vehicles splash that water onto the pavement. Pedestrians on that part of the pavement get splashed. At this time, the splash area is an ice-rink. In both cases, to avoid the hazard, pedestrians either have to cross the road - over part frozen water - where there is no pavement or risk being soaked or slipping. The splashing and the ice-rink both result in hazards for pedestrians.

A tree is leaning against a telegraph pole and into the street, 21st November
The tree appears to be broken off at the ground and is leaning against the telegraph pole. the stump of a branch is sticking a short way into the roadway. also the restraining cable for the pole has snapped. whether that's as a result of the tree or something else, i don't know.

This pothole has appeared during the flooding period. it's approx 30 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm deep., 6th October
This pothole has appeared during the period when water poured down this lane as a result of blocked / inadequate gully capacity on Malt Kiln Lane. However, the pothole is now flooded and will be a hazard to cyclists and possibly runners if they run into it when under water.
