Area around Go Local shop 32 Croftwood Grove, 13th February
The expanded business at 32 Croftwood Grove on West was once a quiet residential cul de sac is impacting the life of residents. Noise from HGV delivery lorries, arriving early morning of through the day, with reversing beepers, vehicles that are too large and heavy for a small cul de sac, they drive over pavements, as evidenced by state of grass verges around shop, for 20 plus years this has never been an issue, as well as nouse, pollution from the vehicles, it makes area at front of culde sac look run down and uncared for. In addition, we get transit delivery vans in and out, customers in transit type vans, low loaders, even a bus, then all the cars, they are constant from when I wake until bed, shop is open from pre 7am some days and beyond 11pm, house from vehicles, customers, groups of youths coming in waves, peaking at certain times but always present. The increased air pollution is noticeable, I have had 5 respiratory infections this year, compared to same number in past 22 years living here, there must be a link, the volume of dust in house has increased significantly and I now need air purifiers, I live on a cul de sac not a main A road. The hours of opening, noise, lack of care for the environment (grass veges), no consideration for neighbours is not acceptable. Why has the council allowed such overdevelopment of a shop without any consultation of residents or considering its impact. My elderly neighbours gave received bayliff letters and letters from gas companies about unpaid bills, removal of meters, these are for shop and due to an address change years ago, they ignore everything. It appears that people live above the shop but shutters are kept down most of the time, there are children, surely this is a safeguarding issue too. Please do something to address these issue. Thank you

Traffic Lights Timing Cumber / Stoney Lane Whiston, 30th January
From Cumber Lane heading towards Stoney and Dragon Lane, this whole area is being impacted with bad timing between three sets of traffic lights. When the traffic lights are on Green for the exit out Cumber lane, you cannot get out as the area of Stoney Lane is not clear - either you require to hatch the area so traffic keeps clear or resolve the timing of the traffic lights. The lights also change very quickly if you are on bike you could be in risk as the timing is too sharp between Green to Amber Red.. I have seen cars do a three point turn in the road and head back towards Milton avenue to not wait.
When St Edmund Arrowsmith High school get out the traffic is busy also when Stoves get out at 15:30... Please action and resolve ASAP - Thanks

Road markings and sigs, 15th January
This is a "T" junction of Stoney Lane and Old Lane. with a painted roundabout..Road markings have not been renewed for some time and are nearly totally obscured with the volume of traffic passing over it. Drivers seem totally oblivious to whom has right of way and car horns are a regular feature. Sign to tell there is a traffic island ahead has been knocked around and facing the wrong way. Is unlit and is totally damaged. Met with council representatives, both Parish and St Helens on January 4th 2023 to discuss the situation and still no action.. The Council still take our council taxes but I ask myself"Where is it going"

Youths congregating, 22nd October
Youths congregate and sit on 'legacy' Street furniture, smoking, vaping and using as grandstand seats whilst cars and bikes race past on Lickers Lane. These old concrete blocks and bollards appear to have no use, other than acting as a magnet for youths to sit, especially.more so now that shop has floodlighting to front making it more attractive as a meeting place. Observed drug use, smoking, vaping. Also used whilst 'attacking' bus stop to cause criminal damage. Could they be removed to help discourage ASB. Issue has been getting worse but more so at weekends
