Damaged street light from private overhanging trees, 19th April

Fri, 19 Apr 2024 15:18:31 +0100
53.465966 -2.943727

Owners at Jasmine House, Higher Lane, L9 9AZ like to leave their trees overhanging on to the street, regularly. This problem has happened multiple times before where people can't walk safely on the pavement because of the branches, but now the streetlight has been damaged by their trees. Broken glass directly underneath. Pitch black at night. Unsafe corner. There has been 2 car accidents recently where cars have ploughed into the railway railings opposite. This issue has been like this many many months but I've only just noticed the damage to the streetlight.

Speed bump on Barlow’s lane, 16th February

Fri, 16 Feb 2024 21:38:50 +0000
53.472319 -2.936894

The last speed bump on Barlow’s Lane before the turn into Papillon Drive needs looking into. It has a dip in the road and almost every car that passes over even at slow speed is hitting the road surface. This is causing the road to deteriorate

Traffic light phasing, 16th February

Fri, 16 Feb 2024 21:34:23 +0000
53.468705 -2.939018

The phasing of the lights needs to be looked at. They often stay in red for the exit from Barlow’s Lane. It seems every couple of cycles of lights the red light remains on red for 2-3 minutes. In addition there needs to be some common sense with the phasing of lights along Longmoor Lane from the junction with Seeds Lane and Lower Lane. Lights are changing to red without a clear flow through creating unnecessary traffic queues adding to congestion and increased co2 pollutions. Specifically when there is no traffic from Seeds Lane Higher Lane Barlow’s Lane. Traffic is often being stopped at 3-4 sets of lights with no other traffic around.

Private Company Illegally Controlling On-road Parking, 13th February

Tue, 13 Feb 2024 18:59:16 +0000
53.456857 -2.946121

Company: Remember Me - Dementia Day Care Centre Address: 10, Bemrose House, Hanson Rd, Aintree, Liverpool L9 7BG For some time - and to the annoyance of local businesses - this 'Day Care' centre has been using 'acquired' cones to block people from legally parking on Hanson Road. The note attached to one of the cones (see photo) is rather disturbing and says rather a lot about this business - run by quite unpleasant people. 'Often we have no choice to to block vehicles...' The note also refers to not being able to park outside their own building; as I'm sure you know, you're not entitled to a space outside your own house, let alone business. The second photo clearly shows the cones on the pavement - not on their premises. This is causing 'unrest' in the area and on more than one ocassion tensions have flared. We would be very grateful if you could investigate and, indeed, bring this business back in line with what it legal. They are behaving illegally and unreasonably and a lot of people are getting quite angry. I hope this can be resolved by yourselves before the cones start flying around (again)

Traffic light: misaligned, 29th January

Mon, 29 Jan 2024 00:48:14 +0000
53.468988 -2.935331

On Longmoor Lane directly opposite the exit on the hospital, the traffic light is misaligned; presumably as a result of the recent windy weather. As you can see from the photo, the lights are facing to the left of the traffic coming out of the hospital grounds, making it almost impossible to see the lights.

This pothole is getting bigging by the day, to be honest most of the potholes in Aintree are breaking up, and will be causing premature damage to vehicles. Has the council not got a green policy?.
