House on the corner "Dunblane" - has overgrown hedgefrom mere road on the corner - all the way on the small access road., 26th April

I have grandchildren at Waddington All Saints Primary School. This is the access road to and from the village parking, to the Primary school . Its excellent with the one way traffic this past year. However the adults and children have to walk on the road, and not the pavement - because of overgrowth. When fog and mist ice snow excessive rain etc it is dangerous to all concerned. Yes cars of the same parents go slow 5mph.... But children do run and play, people with buggies and prams with children. 2nd photo as the car's leave - ONE second a child can run out, and even walking - can not turn and walk on to the pavement. Even as a OLD Grandparent I have to walk on the road - with no guarantee of safety - yes I could slip or fall . I hope something can be done - Maybe if it has been like this for years ? I think the time is 10 years it becomes the property of the home owner with the "extended boundary". An actual on sight visualisation at school times would be appreciated.

For the last few years, the public walkway between 15 and 17 Hobart Close Waddington has not been cut when all the other public areas are. The area was previously cut by the council but I have been forced to cut this area myself to keep it presentable during this period, a job I am not willing to do again this year.

Opposite Jelson homes building site, 23rd April

Https://one.network/?GB137209941 These roadworks as in the above link involve 3 way traffic control. There have been to actual works on the road at all, just as small hole in the verge between the footpath and houses. Jelson Homes construction workers are using the road closure to parkworks vans inside the cones. 3 times this week, tipper trucks have been parked before the traffic lights totally obscuring the traffic lights so it is not possible to see what colour they are noting that it’s 3 way control. Can I ask why the road is closed when no works are affecting the highway?

Bus stop Vanwall drive Waddington both ways, 16th April

There is no pedestrian crossing on the bus stop called Vanwall drive in Waddington. We waited 7minutes to cross the road today,it is all school kids, people coming from work and elderly people coming back from town. It is unacceptable not to have any kind of crossing there, nearest one behind outside Wheatsheaf pub/Budgens,which is another bus stop away. Even when finally crossing the road, influx of traffic meant to simply risk it amd hope for best not to be run over! Something has to be done please. It is not only one with pedestrian crossing in Waddington. Another one is outside of Three Horseshoe pub, where traffic is coming from 4 ways! I've got two little bogs aged 2 and 4,who loves going our on their bikes, but when we walk from Moxon's Lane towards High Street, you've got traffic coming in from Lower High Street and Manor Lane too,you can't see around the corner and again, simply you have to risk it or relay on some drivers who stops the traffic for you,so you can somehow semi safely cross the road. I work for the council and I get it daily with people complaining, bit surely we cannot wait until something happens to someone, for then to try and fix it. Thank you Olivia

Approx 40-50cm wide and looked very deep when driving past at a slower speed. Lots of vehicles swerving on to the wrong side of the road to avoid this. Main road in to Lincoln with heavy use. Emergency service vehicles will also be affected (fire and rescue service on the same side of the road, next to aircraft viewing area and air ambulance center). Pothole has been there for couple of weeks and had become larger over the past couple of days.

Far Lane junction, 19th March

Tue, 19 Mar 2024 10:32:27 +0000
53.168189 -0.541337

There is a blind junction when turning out of Far Lane onto lower high street. A mirror was errected which ensured visibility but this blew over several months ago. As a result the junction is dangerous with cars speeding. I had hoped the council would fix the mirror but to date it is still hanging off. Please could this be fixed as a matter of urgency before an accident occurs.

Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 18th March

Mon, 18 Mar 2024 10:09:40 +0000

Customer wishes to report pothole and make a claim. 'Whilst driving down Somerton Gate Lane out of Waddington village, I observed two potholes inline with the normal driving line. This road is a single lane, and there was a gravel passing point approximately adjacent to the potholes. As I turned to attempted to avoid the wider of the two potholes I clipped the left pothole, which was substantially thinner and longer, with the inside of my left wheel. This buckled the inside of the wheel, and deflated my tyre.'

Multiple locations along the whole lane, 13th March

Wed, 13 Mar 2024 16:18:46 +0000
53.166488 -0.557693

Multiple potholes along the whole road, most align with the width of the average car meaning drastic avoidance is needed by cars, to miss them. This then can result in damage to wheels, axels or tracking from the poorly kept road banks or even supposed 'passing points'. These could also be flattened as a point to bring up. Might be worth mentioning that as a motorcyclist, the depth of most of these potholes would severely damage the machine, stopping the bike dead in its tracks causing the rider to flip over the handle bars. A definite threat to life.
