Outside Cooley's garage, 12th April

Fri, 12 Apr 2024 09:52:58 +0100
53.103484 -0.173971

The path as pictured is breaking up and to add to that, the business owner frequently blocks the path with vehicles as you can see in the picture. You can also see that they have resurfaced part of the path to give it the appearance that it is their land giving them an excuse to consistently block the path. This is dangerous as it is the path towards a school.

Hunters Lane from Grange Drive to Wharf Lane, 11th April

Today 11 Apr 2024 a team form Highways have been along and filled in the potholes Reference 4190848 as hopefully can be seen in the photographs I and many other residents are left bewildered by the standard of repair. The photograph hopefully shows where a previous repair was cut out, filled and then sealed around the edges, today they have just dropped some tar in and ran a whacker plate over it . My question is is there two standards of repair that are carried out by different teams?

Potholes, Potholes and yet more potholes. Did I mention there are an unbelievable number of Potholes from the T Junction with Park Lane and the T Junction with Greenfield Road. There is also excessive amounts of loose gravel caused by the deterioration of the road surface particularly at the Park Lane and Greenfield Road T Junctions, which now presents a risk to road users due to the skid risk when slowing down for the junctions and when pulling out of both junctions. Both of theses junctions are also littered with potholes that need proper repairs (after removal of the loose gravel) Also there are no Road markings visible at either Junction, I would have thought this would be a legal requirement, please investigate this issue The state of this road is a disgrace, yet again I continue to report the same issues in the same areas and I know instead of carry out resurfacing work which is long overdue, I will get the same reply “Action is scheduled” . Hopefully a team will come out and carry out a very poor and temporary repair, leave all the loose gravel on the road and the action will be closed down as “Fixed” Please visit this area and carry out a proper assessment, carry out resurfacing work, sweep up and remove the loose gravel as it is a skid risk, apply the relevant road markings and return the farm track back to a road fit for pedestrians, cyclists and motor vehicle users. I look forward to reporting the same issues in the near future in my quest to protect the residents of Hoplands and Greenfield Road from needless harm and damage to their vehicles and persons
