It looks like Japanese knotweed is growing outside the garden of the white house which I think is number 15. I'm not sure if this is the right way to report it, or if it is necessary to report it but I thought I'd try.

Junction of Kettlethorpe Road (from Laughterton to Fenton) with Kettlethorpe Lane (to Kettlethorpe Village), 10th April

Wed, 10 Apr 2024 11:33:00 +0100
53.275706 -0.732383

There is an issue with water not draining away properly at this site. There is a t-shaped pipe junction beneath the road at this site, which appears to be blocked. My Council (Kettlethorpe PC) believe that this might be being affected by an issue further along the road towards Fenton. In August 2022, the owner of the land opposite the houses on Kettlethorpe Road, Fenton did some work to the road. He has a planning grant from West Lindsey District Council under their reference 144120. The work involved digging a trench across the road to fit pipework. We understand that he obtained permission from Lincolnshire CC to close the road in order to do the work. The trench was poorly filled in with limestone and subsequently subsequently tarmac. Prior to this work, there had been a manhole where the work took place, which was not reinstated. The tarmac infill has now sunk, and my Council believes that the piping may have collapsed, contributing to the blockage at the junction.

On the bend leading into Fenton from Lincoln, 27th March

Wed, 27 Mar 2024 06:02:17 +0000

I ride a motorbike on that road daily to get to work and it is now a serious hazard as mud is piled on the road and with wet wether on a tight bend it’s an accident waiting to happen. It doesn’t look like the tractors have had sweeps on the back of their tires at all with the amount of mud on the road. I struggled round the tight bends because of the mud and don’t want to have an accident, this has started beginning of 25 th march. Please put something into action as it is not safe thank you

There are numerous potholes along the road and unfortunately they cannot be missed due to cars being parked on the good side of the road. There has been several temporary repairs which have now resulted in more holes and much further up the road. We have already purchased two tyres due to damage in the last 6 months. Please give this matter your attention.

Pavement fronting Moor Farm Cottage and The Cottage, Main Road, Laughterton, 15th March

This issue was the subject of a previous report to you in August 2023 under reference number 4184491. I supplied photos of the affected area in the previous report. The issue is no better over the intervening time. My Council has been advised by the householders that the rainwater overtopping the lowered kerb stones and causing damage to the pavement is now also flowing down their driveways after a period of rain. The cause of this stems from when the road was resurfaced a few years ago. The camber of the road is such that the centre of the road is higher than the lowered kerbs, causing rainwater to flow onto and over the pavement and onto driveways, rather than flowing to the drains. My Council and the householders involved will be very grateful if you could please revisit the previous report and inspect the area with a view to remedial work. Thank you for your assistance. The road surface needs stabilising due to wear, recent repair will very quickly loosen as the material around it is loose. The whole road needs investigation before more holes/crakes become a larger problem.

Mon, 19 Feb 2024 14:29:10 +0000

After road-resurfacing a year or two ago, water pools over the road at this location every time it rains. This did not historically happen, and is a major issue for the large number of walkers who use the public footpath, since the water, being several inches deep in places, stops them from being able to walk past. The water covers the whole of the road. This issue has been reported before, but the council suggested that it was a temporary issue because of the flooding across the county, suggesting that drains might have been blocked. However there are no drains in this area and it is the fact that the road has not been properly made round that makes the water collect on the surface. Thankfully it only a few days after each rainstorm, but the flooding (in Winter, it is flooded most or many days) means that fewer people are walking through than before. We would be so grateful if this issue could get fixed as it has a major impact on the community's connectivity etc. Thank you!

Pipe under kettlethorpe lane, near T junction with Broom Hills, kettlethopre, 11th February

There is a pipe that runs under kettlethorpe lane in Kettlethorpe which is a public road. This pipe seems to be blocked. Please could you arrange to have it cleaned out. If it is not considered the responsibility of the Lincolnshire county council, West Lindsey District Council or the Highways department please could you advise how anyone else could own this pipe as Kettlethorpe Lane is a public road and would assume any drainage under it is public. Thank you
