Grass/weed verges not being cut, 4th September
We have lived at 16 Holly Lane for over 7 years and we have to cut the verges on Shilton Road ourselves, we have been in touch with Hinckley and Bosworth council who were very helpful but came back to us and said they belong to the Highways, these need cutting from April to October at least once a month, I think since we have lived here they have been done twice.

Loop of cable causing trip hazard, 23rd August
A loop of cable that you can get your whole foot stuck under is causing a trip hazard. Presumably lazy contractors have left it like this instead of putting the cable inside the cover. Very dangerous for the elderly, blind or partially sighted.

Parking on yellow lines, 24th March
The owner (or employee) of "Barwell Top Barber" seems to think yellow lines do not apply to him. This car frequently parks on yellow lines during the day, causing obstruction to the flow of traffic on a bus route. This photo was taken at 4:40pm on Wed 22nd March. It was parked before 1:30pm when I walked past and still there at 4:40pm. This was reported to the Police, but they responded as follows: "Parking matters involving yellow lines would be the responsibility of the local council and their traffic wardens, so if you contact Hinckley & Bosworth Council they will look into this."

Cars parked in the street instead of on their drive ways, 22nd March
The cars in the street are NOT being parked on their drive ways thus making it difficult to manoeuvre in the turning points for all vehicles that come in to the cul de sac. The paths are being blocked and parked on some dropped curbs. This has been an issue for some time now and it’s getting worse as there are more vehicles now parking in the street.
