Car parked on double yellows., 13th December

Wed, 13 Dec 2023 16:09:31 +0000
52.586521 -1.105753

This car is parked not only on double yellow lines but immediately on the junction causing problems with traffic trying to get in and out of the street. It was there at 15:30 when I spotted it and still there at 16:00 when I left the car park. Absolutely unacceptable considering there are multiple car parks literally 20 meters away.

The manhole cover on the side of the road going away from Wigston on Aylestone Lane (roughly west-bound) makes a loud "click-clack" noise when driven over, which happens hundreds of times a day and has become a nuisance to residents. This is at the Wigston end of Aylestone Lane opposite the car park.

Selfish drivers are blocking pedestrian access to shops, 6th February

Mon, 06 Feb 2023 10:23:18 +0000
52.587177 -1.105125

Motorists wanting to avoid paying for parking have taken it upon themselves to park on the path, which is the pedestrian route from the car park to the shops. Often there are three cars here, which blocks pedestrian access, particularly a problem for disabled people and those with buggies etc. I witnessed a distressed disabled lady struggling to negotiate her way around, which is unacceptable. Bollards are required to maintain unimpeded pedestrian access.

Tractors spilling their load. Stinking, 31st August

52.578967 -1.093882

Over the last 3 weeks tractors twice have been spilled there load on the Newton lane/guthlaxton way junction. I have been here for 20 years and never known this happen. I can understand it does but why are they cutting through Newton Harcourt. It wasn't that long ago there were signs up saying not to cut through. So we are driving through it then parking up on our drives with all this muck. It's absolutely stinking and ruining my drive. Can they just use the main roads please
