Highways maintenance van dangerous driving, 13th May
I was overtaking a highways maintenance van, when the van suddenly swerved into my lane without indication. I had to take evasive action and fortunately there was no car passing me on the right. This was an extremely near miss and I was barely able to keep control of the car. I was extremely shaken.
Being in shock I slowed and eventually the van overtook me. I observed the van for a while and noticed continued swerving within their lane. I later passed the van and observed the driver using their phone.
This took place on the M1 going north at approximately 7.30pm. Registration NL20 0PN. Please can you ensure the driver does not endanger the lives of other road users again?

M1 Diversion diverts to closure, 24th April
The M1 is closed between J20-J19, traffic signs divert you onto the M69 across to the A5 and back onto the M1. However, the diversion takes you to the other road closure on the M1 where the marker is. So the diversion sends you around in circles

Entering J20 onto M1 Northbound has large litter in verge, 8th March
As you exit Lutterworth Road onto the M1 at J20, the roundabout and slip road have large amounts of flytipping and rubbish in them. Some of it is on the A road (assume not HE) but also down the sliproad. Seems like one crew could do it rather than two crews going up to an invisible line even though it might be a council _and_ HE problem :)

Trees and shrubs with low hanging branches present a hazard when walking on pavement, 12th October
Low hanging branches across the pavement of the A4304 Lutterworth Rd Walcote between the junction with Walcote Road and the edge of the village. Since I first reported this it seems that the ground level weeds have been cut but not the trees and shrubs.

Low hanging branches across the street, 28th September
The large tree needs cutting back on chapel lane. It has low hanging branches which the bin wagons and delivery trucks hit all the time and the leaves in autumn create such a mess and a hazard when they rot down.

No road sign to indicate merge to one lane, 12th September
M1 J20's two-lane northbound on-slip converges into a single lane at the nose of the on-slip. There is no sign or painted arrow to alert drivers of this. This almost caused an collision yesterday when two vehicles travelling beside each other down the on-slip narrowly avoided each other as the lanes converged into one. See M1 J41's northbound on-slip; there's a sign on the on-slip notifying drivers that the two-lane on-slip merges into one, and a painted merge arrow on the lane too.
