In appropriate parking on junction resulting in churning up of verge, 8th April
There is a significant issue with inappropriate dangerous parking at the junction of Pinfold Lane and Church Street at School drop off collection times. This includes blocking residents drives and more importantly parking dangerously on the junction. Notably there have been several near misses and has on occasions restricted the school bus manoeuvring the junction leading to mayhem as the traffic backs up. The result is that in recent months with the inclement wet weather the verge corner has been churned up, please see attached photo.

Pinfold lane No 2 - 20. Random tarmac filling of pot holes, 19th March
There are extensive potholes along Pinfold Lane, There has been an attempt to fill in some of the potholes, but extensive pot holes remain as indicated in the attached photographs. The quality of the attempt to fill in some pot holes is questionable. The edge of the tarmac has not been sealed with a seam, and the edges of the filling tarmac is already crumbling and will be hastened by rain and potential over night frost.

Previous Ticket closed incorrectly - FixMyStreet ref: 5257995., 25th January
The previous ticket was closed as you "believed" that the rubble was being used on the farm for track mainenance. No track or road maintenance has taken place using this rubbish in over 3 years. Either this is waste or a U1 waste exemption licence is held. If so the U1 certificate has been breached as the waster has not been used within the time limit of three years
The original pile had been there for well over 3 years. This is now been added to several times recently and is now taller than a house and is visible from a distance. It is impossible to tell what is under all of this. It is an absolute eyesore and potential health hazard.

Blocked drain leading to flood across drive, 17th January
Water draining off fields behind house is flowing onto the road and causing an obstruction to the property and a large puddle on the road due to a blocked drain. This has continued for over a week and as water continues to stream off fields will not resolve quickly, particularly if we have further rainfall. It is also proving to be a hazard due to black ice forming. This happened last year and the drain appears not to have been cleared for at least 2 years.

Water on Gatehouse Lane/Pinfold Lane and poor drainage., 15th January
Following the wet 2023 autumn and 2023/24 winter we have water on the Highway in several locations on Gatehouse Lane and Pinfold Lane. At the top of Gatehouse Lane/North Luffenham road water from springs is flowing down into Gatehouse Lane, and along the lane. It goes down a road drain only to come back out of the drain further down the road. The drain is clearly blocked underground and needs jetting.
Further down Gatehouse Lane where it joins Pinfold Lane and before the bridge over the Foss there is extensive water on the highway emerging from the verge and flowing down towards the bridge and into the Foss.
Today in the freezing weather these issues have materialised into very icy and dangerous conditions both underfoot and for vehicles. The grit bin that was on the incline at Gatehouse Lane/ Pinfold Lane has disappeared so gritting the ice is not easy.
Please can residents in Gatehouse Lane receive an assurance from RCC that this matter will be looked at as soon as possible so that at least Highway drainage is working to remove water. We also need to have a plan developed to address the water that is getting onto the Highway from springs within fields and adjacent properties.
