ISSUE: Theft from person.
The local beat team will be utilising hotspot policing to target offences of theft from persons. This includes high visibility patrols in key areas. The aim is to reduce the instances of these offences by showing a visible presence.
ACTION: April 2024 UPDATE;
Targeted patrols in areas where thefts from person were occurring resulted in three arrests being made. These suspects are now on bail and since their arrest there have been no further thefts from persons within these areas. The team continue to complete their high visibility
