24 inch cable tv manhole cover outside 97 Main Street LS290PD, 22nd September
The road was resurfaced about 3 months ago (extra gravel/tarmac added on top of existing surface. It appears that the manhole cover was not raised to be at the same level as the new road surface height. Every time a car drives over the noise reverberates. Every time there is rain fall, the water doesn’t clear, it fills the space below the cover then ‘wells’ on top of the cover. When cars drive over this, pedestrians get soaked and 97 Main Street has its windows covered in dirty gritty water.

Vehicle left parked in a lay by, 19th September
A vehicle advertising a local coffee shop (The Joyful Deli, Addingham) is being left parked in a lay-by for advertising purposes only. The lay-by is there for road users prior to proceeding onto a dual carriageway and this van is causing a disruption to it's proper use and purpose. The van appears to have been parked there on a permanent basis for a number of months, it is definitely there throughout the day. I know this as I use this route regularly.

Southfield terrace highway verge, 5th September
There is a strip of land which has been confirmed by Anisah Naz (Bradford council, highways records officer) as a highway verge maintained by the council at public expense (ie Bradford council tax). I always thought a highway verge was supposed to exist for the general public to walk/run on without having to walk on the actual road and for any necessary road widening. I know this is privately owned land but not owned by the residents of Southfield Terrace who some seem to use it as their own private storage area and yet this area is being publicly funded by the council tax payer. As can be seen from the photos, wheelie bins are being permantly store here which is against the councils own policy, terms and conditions for wheelie bins (brown bin policy point #17, recycle and general waste bins, point #21). Also situated on this highway verge are numerous log stores and other containers which cause some obstruction to any pedestrian on this verge, cause some obstruction to the service strip required for the street lighting cables which I presume run underground, cause some obstruction to the residents who own the fence, which is adjacent to the highway verge, for maintenance purposes, and would also provide an easier access over the fence for any would be burglar etc to gain access to the properties on Westcroft. I can remember 20 years ago when this highway verge did not have any bins, logstores, flagstones, chippings etc on it and was just rough grass. My question is why has Bradford council allowed this to happen to this highway verge when advertising boards are not allowed on verges at all and what is going to appear on this land and be allowed in the next 20 years by Bradford council bearing in mind that it is the council tax payees who are paying for this verge to be maintained. It would be good if a representative of the highways dept of Bradford council inspected this verge for their own information.
