FIXMYSTREET IN LS23 6LA
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LS23 6LA:
Very deep potholes along the edge of St John’s Road, 22nd January
The potholes are numerous and are very deep. They have been caused by heavy vehicles who are using the road having to squeeze past parked cars on the other side of the road. Major construction work is being carried out at Martin House Children’s Hospice for at least another 18 months so we can expect the road structure to become much worse.

Bridge support/expansion joint, 29th September
Over the last six months or so I have noticed that the loud chiming/banging noise is getting worse as HGV's pass over the South bound flyover, the noise can be heard whilst sat at the off ramp traffic lights on the A659. I am a civil engineer working on highways and superstructure, in my opinion the resonating vibration through the concrete deck would be something to investigate. Most probably a loose expansion joint or the bridge seating has play in it. There is a loud boom whenever HGV's pass overhead.

Dangerous potholes, 5th September
There are numerous potholes on Windmill Road that have been there for years. LCC attempts to rectify them but they last just a few weeks or months at best and they quickly come back. Some are very dangerous indeed especially when filled with water as they just look to be big puddles, but are in fact cavernous holes with sharp and deep edges. It is scandalous that LCC choose to not use FixMyStreet anymore. Their web site is grossly inferior, with photos being stupidly limited to a very small file size. Who know how to reduce a file size? Deliberate or what?

A series of old and massive pot holes at the sides of the road, 7th October
Leeds City Council is negligent in not using FixMyStreet. It argues that is not cost effective to use it, and that its own system is superior. This is garbage. Its system is very poor and user unfriendly, and it is just an excuse to ignore you.

Cars always park over lines and block access., 8th September
This is access to the Greyhound Barns houses. Vehicles often part or fully park over the lime and obstructing access. It causes issues for residents leaving and returning as they often can't use or have further obstructed visibility. The issue has been ongoing for many months but now is becoming worse due to emergency vehicles attending more often.
