Heavy Goods Vehicles Using Road When Unsuited., 19th June
Fully laden dump trucks are becoming more & more frequent on this road. The road itself is not designed for this kind of vehicle & as a result the road had just had quite a few major repair done on it. These vehicles are using the road as a shortcut to bypass traffic on more suitable roads & it should not be allowed to happen. The company names i have seen so far are Whitelocks & Edwards. Night flights leeds breadford airport, 26th May
Last night there was one flight after another coming in after midnight they pass the end of my street resulting in no sleep again last summer was bad enough but looks like this year could be worse this is having an effect on my quality of life its unreasonable to expect residents to put up with this

All the drains are full of water and leaves and flood the properties when it rains. All Moorway from Thorpe Lane, to Broadway., 18th May
The council cleaned only 1 drain when they attended. Did a good job but all the others are blocked with gunge, leacves debris etc. whenever it rains they fill up and flood the houses below them. All the roadside drains on Moorway, from Thorpe lane to Broadway, thanks.

Probable unauthorised obstruction on the highway, 14th May
Huge boulders on the highway near Heather Bank Barn on Hillings Lane, Menston.
These are obstructing free passage along the highway for walkers and causing a hazard for road users in this extremely narrow area of highway.
Surely they are an obstruction under The Highways Act (section 137?) And need to be removed ASAP.

Stone Boulders and a stone boulder with house name on it., 28th March
Stone boulders placed in private lay-by but they make the already narrow road very narrow to negotiate. House name also placed on large stone boulder which juts out into the road. A waiting disaster.

A mini SINKHOLE, not a pothole, on the pavement of Moor Lane, Menston, 2nd September
I measure that the cavity under this new hole is at least 30cm deep. It is in area where Yorkshire Water did mains relaying 1-2 years ago and where now 38 ton lorries regularly mount the pavement to pass each other in connection with the major housing development by Tolent at the bottom of the lane. If this collapses under a lorry, there could be all sorts of trouble. Meanwhile I have placed a bollard over the top of it to try to help locals and walkers stay safe.

Cars and vans blocking the pavement, 20th June
Cars and vans continually park on the pavement because the road is too narrow to park on. Sometimes the pavement is completely blocked and we have to walk in the middle of the road. Please can we have double yellow lines in front of the new housing estate on Derry Hill? When cars aren't blocking the pavement they park opposite the junction making it dangerous to turn in and out of Derry Lane.

Missing lifebouys., 20th February
The 3 lifebouys that are situated around the pond have been removed from their holders and thrown into the pond. This is the pond opposite the Wetherby Whaler going towards Highroyds.

This was reported to Bradford Council 4 weeks ago & we were advised it would take longer than usual but should be fixed within a month. Still very dark on the street-not good in winter & icy conditions.
