Shrub growing over wall and taking up a good amount of pavement, 11th March
A shrub is growing over the wall at St Oswalds vicarage and taking up quite a bit of space now on the pavement. Meaning it’s best to walk in single file to avoid it. As it’s on the way to the school a lot of children and parents use this path daily it really does need cutting back to allow full use of the pavement and avoid stepping into the road.

Cars parked blocking the pavement, 21st February
There's a problem with people double parking and parking fully on the pavement from the vets on bradford Road to the junction of tranmere drive. I am currently using crutches and have struggled passed, including having to walk on the busy main road to pass a large SUV. It would be impossible for wheelchairs or prams. It's become a problem I would say since covid and I would guess that the parking spaces are being abused by people who work in the area rather than visiting clients, exacerbated since the coop/whitecross pub carpark introduced parking fines for long stays.

Downpipe of end terrace of Mount Pleasant disgorges onto pavement, 16th January
The downpipe from the roof of the end terrace of Mount Pleasant next to the road does not go into a drain, it just pours the water onto the pavement. This is a popular pavement used a lot by walkers. This area is also having issues with flooding further down the road, and this gutter won't be helping!

Parked cars make road blind, 14th December
We need some double yellows on the way into the street to prevent the blocking of entrance for the street for emergency vehicles.
Also further on in the street there are bottlenecks where people often park on both sides in the the dead end sides that make it unsafe when icy or in an emergency

Parking in front of driveways and causing obstructions on the street, 14th December
Parking in front of driveways and causing obstructions on the street This has been happening for 4 years since we moved to this property and it’s becoming a real problem on a daily basis to get to our own house and driveway safely. There are also plenty of other neighbours effected by this.

Over parking / blocked street, 4th December
Victoria road is a cut through for local traffic: over the past 12 months increasingly cars are parking on the street to use the train station and even to take a cab to the airport. The non residents explain they are entitled to park where they want, but it leaves no space for cars to safely travel up the road. When an opportunity arises, they drive at speed. In excess of 40mph. In the last week there have been two accidents on the road.

Can parking daily very near dangerous junction, 30th November
A van parks daily very near the junction of Carlton Lane, Moor Lane/Town Street and Wills Gill. This junction is busy and difficult. The van blocks most of one side of the road (facing up the hill) and I am afraid there will be a head on collision one day as traffic needs to pass it but cannot see if there is traffic coming the other way or turning on to the road from Carlton Lane and Wills Gill. I have talked to the owner but they are not willing to move it.

Tree was cut in 2018. Is pulling down cables, 3rd September
Tree branches are growing over the phone cables. This tree was cut 4 or 5 years ago and has re-grown. I've tried to adjust the picture brightness to help you see that two of the cables coming from the pole to our homes have been ingulfed by the branches and are being pulled. Worried that a high wind will snap the cables or bring down the post. Thank you
