FIXMYSTREET IN LS19 6HL
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LS19 6HL:
Traffic Management from Parkside on to Fink Hill needs reassessing, 7th March
Since the changes have been made to the A6120 Broadway Horsforth, there have been problems coming up from Parkside, turning right on to said road and then turning left up Fink Hill. The previous filter light sequence has been removed and consequently this can cause a backup of cars from Parkside wishing to go left. This morning I was blocking the central reservation, with cars beeping at me as I had no available space to manuoeuvre in to. I travel that way to work and have witnessed this happening on several occasions.

Illegal parking, 8th January
The whole area is permit parking only except for the section identified. This section allows parking for up to two hours maximum between the hours 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. Cars from the college park there for the entire day without ever getting tickets. People who want to park there to go dog walking or have lunchtime exercise are unable to because there are no spaces. This needs addressing and stopping.

Too many people park illegally at drop off and pick up from school times, 26th September
No one observes the double or single yellow lines. I have a blue badge and should be allowed to use the yellow lines area but it's always full from the turning circle to the corner.
Parking attendants usually nip this problem in the bud and then time goes on and people continue to do it. Maybe a sign would help. Maybe disabled parking spots also.

Parking on double yellow lines, 6th September
At the junction of Carr road and thornhill street cars park on the double yellow lines particularly to the deaccelaration area coming off Carr road onto thornhill street. This regularly occurs at drop off and pick up for the local church school. As the junction is on a blind bend cars parking there make it very difficult to have a clear view of approaching vehicles when trying to enter Carr road. Hence it’s dangerous with the volume of traffic. No parking needs to be enforced.

This road is horrendous for double parking. Especially when the school is open. Cars coming up from the junction get stuck if theres cars coming down the hill. Something needs to be done before theres someone knocked over.

Unsafe Junction, 26th April
The corner house has multiple cars that are left here all the time. The junction is bad anyway but the volume of cars that are left here is beyond a joke. Theres always a car blocking viewing as you pull out of the street and to turn in theres multiple cars parked on the road side. Theres at least 3 cars and a camper van left there permanently.

Parking, 22nd September
Parking on Scotland Lane Horsforth has increased in recent weeks partly due to recent repairs carried out to the road surface but the yellow lines not put back on as they were before, yesterday 21/9/22 four vehicles all together and part parked on the pavement made it difficult for pedestrians to get around and drivers approaching from Brownberrie lane not being able to see oncoming traffic.
