FIXMYSTREET IN LA5 0BD
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LA5 0BD:
Dangerous parking, 25th October
Builders are parking vans every day on a blind bend at the top of Silverdale Road, Arnside, the blind bend being located immediately opposite the junction with Stewart Close. The builders are also parking in Stewart Close itself, around it's junction with Silverdale Road. These vans are (1) obstructing the highway on Silverdale Road at the blind bend, forcing traffic onto the opposite carriageway where vision of incoming traffic is totally obscured and (2) blocking access for larger vehicles like bin lorries or fire engines coming into Stewart Close. This has been going on for well over a week. I believe the builders are doing building work in Mount Pleasant, Arnside.

Sides of sewer manhole look to be slowly falling in, 3rd June
The road around the edges of this sewer manhole cover appears to be slowly subsiding making the manhole cover very loose as vehicles drive over it. The cover can also be rocked with just a foot. Therefore I think the manhole needs to be checked, possibly by United Utilities.
