Not enough signage, 9th April
On the way to askam there is roadworks that are just behind a bend. There is minimum road signs and no big signs telling people to slow down. The speed limit for this road is 60mph. However, most people exceed this limit and I see this daily. I would also like to state the road is downhill which naturally increases speed and reduces stopping as quick. I have been at the lights on various occasions and other road users have put there hazards on as it feels as though people are going straight in the back of you.

The route across the front of my driveway has a lot of mud and the path is used by children going to school!, 9th April

Driveway covered in mud because of overflowing manhole, 9th April
Over the last year or so my drive way has been flooding ever since the road drain was altered and a man hole installed in the road at the end of my drive way. The man hole has lifted and it could be a tripping hazard ! Plus the drive way is now covered in mud , my neighbor who has pedestrian access and I have to walk through. Please get someone to look at it.

A590 rubbish on both sides of the road / needs a litter picker., 21st March
Hi . i was on the bus coming home from kendal / from the start of the a590 rounderbout to the bp garage litter was on the side of the road . it needs a litter picker or 2 to remove this litter it looks a mess .

132 kv transmission fault trees on road side, 20th March
Hi I’m Scott I work for electricity north west We currently have a 132 kv fault due to trees on the A590 just off dalton roundabout near barrow in Furness. We would like to clear these trees from around the power line in order to make it safe. Could anyone who looks after this part of the road possible make contact with me as soon as possible. This pot hole is getting worse. Plus it's at the point where you are braking to slow down for the roundabout

Broken traffic signs on traffic island, 21st February
Several weeks ago I reported that the western-facing bollard on the traffic island had been demolished (traffic accident?) and that the upright lantern, together with the eastern-facing bollard were invisible at night. This has been highlighted recently when night-time weather has been dark, misty, very wet etc and the island is hardly noticeable. Sooner or later there will be a nasty accident at this spot and it needs urgent attention. I have heard nothing following my first report.

Broken/missing traffic warning signs A590, Lindal, 29th January
On the A590, about 200 yards west of Lindal in Furness, there is a central reservation carrying a light pole and two reflective bollards. The light is not working and the western-most bollard has been damaged and no longer in place,

Blocked drains, 5th January
Along this stretch of road there are several blocked drains. The water gushes out of them and is causing flooding on this very busy main road.

Road arrows to define which lane to be in on approach to roundabout, 4th October
Approaching roundabout on A590 between Lindal in Furness and dalton in Furness the single lane becomes 2 lanes. The left hand lane is obvious to many motorists to fork off to the left and right hand lane to stay on A590, but l have recently seen a few near misses and horns blaring as some drivers are confused as which lane to be in. Direction arrows painted on the tarmac road would give drivers an indication which lane to be in. I hope this is something highways may take on board so to speak. Talking to locals ther is quite a concern of this matter.

Traffic lights out of sync, 19th August
Temporary overnight traffic lights last night were not working correctly, with lights in east direction staying green for a matter of seconds before changing to red, and lights in west direction changing green before the traffic had got through leaving drivers faced with oncoming traffic in a single lane. I pulled over on my way back through to alert the workmen, to have him mouth off at me saying he'd been doing the job for twenty years and it was drivers jumping red lights causing the problem. It definitely was not the drivers causing an issue. He would not listen at all, then accused me of being a hazard for pulling over to alert him to a hazardous situation. Honestly you need to retrain your workforce to accept no matter how long they have been doing a job, they are human not gods and they are not immune from human error. Safety should be their top priority. It was dark and raining, and even at 22:30 still quite busy, and the situation was dangerous.

Trees have still not been cleared. I fear that the wall is a safety hazard, which could cause harm to pedestrians ., 18th June
Trees are growing out of the dividing wall between Fell Croft and Union Streets back street walls. I fear it is a hazard to pedestrians as it is bulging in places.

Footpath from A590 to Melton Terrace is overgrown from vegetation encroaching onto the path from national highways land either side.

Pothole, 4th May
A large pothole has formed at the junction of London Road Lindal in Furness and the A590. This hole is now creating a lot of noise from passing traffic. This hole has got bigger over the last 2 months.
