Drivers frequently failing to stop when joining Meathop roundabout from A590 Eastbound., 5th March
Drivers frequently fail to stop when joining this roundabout from the A590 eastbound when there is clearly another car on the roundabout going round to the join the dual carriageway heading East.
Narrowly avoided a collision on many occasions.
This has been worse since the white hatched box was painted on the roundabout.

Road floods regularly after heavy rain. Drainage problem of long-standing which is known to responsible authorities. No signs at its junction with the B5277, Lindale Road, and no arrangements in place to put in place “ROAD CLOSED” signs when the road is impassable.

Vehicles coming down lindale hill are not stopping at the roundabout .Coming onto the roundabout from Grange the new road marking forces you into the left lane on roundabout , before we could go into right as well . Cars are slamming on as they think we’ll go into the right hand lane as before, 31st January

Temp traffic lights blocking access, 19th January
Temporary traffics lights have been put up, to the left of an access road for the house of Berriedale Terrace, and are blocking the access. There’s no need to block the entrance, the just need moving one metre to the left. We all have young children and it’s creating a danger expecting us to cross a busy road with toddlers

Failure to complete line markings, 27th December
As the B5277 joins the A590 the road markings haven’t been renewed so as I was on the roudabout a vehicle pushed me over from the A590. Please properly re paint this line

Slippy corner., 20th November
I have come off the roundabout onto the bypass today in a 7.5ton lorry and found it was very slippy in the inside lane, i had the same issue 2 weeks back in a small van, this could be quite dangerous as someone could come to fast and slide into the other lane or spin out.

Excess water flowing down bridge foundations/support, 14th November
Due to excessive rain water is flowing down of the A590 bypass under the bridge which carries the A590 over 'Back O the fell' road. Never seen this before in the last 15 years and the water is at risk of washing away the ground the bridge supports are built into. Worth checking before it becomes an issue.

Road breaking up, 12th November
The repair pe0ple have marked out a section of road to be repaired but just around the corner there are two sections of road that have been repaired about four times , but the tarmac is again breaking up that section of road now looks like a patchwork quilt.Surely it needs repairing at the same time as the marked section

Lots of potholes and uneven ground on verge which makes walking dangerous, 26th October
The verge is in a very bad state of repair and as the road is far too fast with numerous accidents, pedestrians have no choice but to use the verge when walking especially outside number 1 which is on a bend. Only a matter of time before someone falls and has an accident. Surely it is cheaper to repair than pay out expensive compensation claims. Been reported but nothing has been done.

Absent lane/road markings on approach and around the roundabout., 12th July
A590 west bound, dual carriageway approaching the roundabout to either take the 1st exit b5277 or 2nd exit a590 lindale bypass. roundabout needs lane markings. it's a roundabout on a dual carriageway - 2 lanes on, 2 lanes off. drivers continuing along the a590 move right on the approach to the roundabout, keep right around it then cut across the left lane to exit. this is wrong and dangerous. both lanes can be used to continue on the a590 and to exit the roundabout as it's a dual carriageway. needs lane signs on approach and lane markings around the roundabout.

Parking, 13th April
The road is being used by Lake District Audi as a car park for their staff. It is quite a narrow road on a steep incline, driving on this road has become dangerous, as its now become one lane. Children use this road getting to school and it has been reported that staff from the garage who drive like idiots almost hit a child.
